Hey everyone,
I’ve been doing basic video editing using mobile apps like VN Editor and CapCut, so I’m comfortable with cuts, transitions and simple effects.
Now I want to move to PC editing and take it seriously. I work in digital marketing, so my goal is to become a professional level editor who can create high-quality content for ads, social media and branding.
I’m a bit unsure where to start on PC - software, workflow and what skills actually matter at a professional level.
Would really appreciate advice on:
- Which software I should focus on first (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
- What skills separate a beginner from a pro editor
- Best way to practice (projects, recreating content, etc.)
- Any learning resources or courses that actually helped you
Thanks in advance!
