Are postmen allowed to mention complaints to you?
I’d brought tracked 24 hour postage, and done the “bring my label” thing, I’ve this plenty times with no issues. I use this because I’ve got a medical condition that prevents be getting to the post office myself in a flare up, anyway it said they’d come Thursday 9:30-12:30. He came at 4 it weren’t my usual postie, but he didn’t haven’t the label with him, my usual one always does or he’ll say he’ll stick it on at the van and he always does that. He just left with it and then later on I got an email saying parcel could not be collected.
The next morning I was panicking because it still hadn’t changed and it was next day delivery so it should have been headed on its way. So I panicked and looked on google and it said to call and log straight away so I called, I said I’m worried my parcel is gonna be lost, as it’s not been scanned and it’s due to be delivered today and what to do etc she said she’d give me a reference number and to call back if it don’t get delivered that day.
Had another parcel due later on that day and the same postman came, he said can I re book the collection so they can print the label as they’ve lost it at the depot, I said okay. But I wonder if I never had a parcel due what would have happened. I rebooked it.
He came to my door and asked why I’ve put a complaint in and really put me on the spot, he was saying how he told me to rebook it and I tried to explain I’d called before that because I was worried my parcel was lost and I wasn’t trying to complain? And he told me to remove it and let them know I “got it wrong”
It’s Monday now my parcel hasn’t moved so I’m not sure if it will even be delivered to its destination today, but I don’t even want him bringing post to my door anymore because I don’t want to see him. My parcel still isn’t delivered so I didn’t exactly “get it wrong”. I did remove the complaint because I thought he might be my new postie that I have to see often, are they even allowed to do this because I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in my life
