I want to buy the Scarpa Instinct VS, but I have no way to try them on in person.

I currently wear the Tenaya Indalo in EU 42 2/3 (UK 8.5). They feel a bit loose, so I think a 42 might actually fit me better. My street shoe size is EU 45 / UK 10.5.

I’ve read that the Instinct line is notoriously hard to downsize, so I’m unsure what size to get. Online calculators recommend UK 9.5 / EU 43.5, but considering that my Indalos already feel slightly loose, I feel like I’d need to go down at least another half size to EU 43.

That still seems quite large compared to what I’ve read from other people. Any advice from someone who has used both shoes?
