Hi guys,
You could’ve see my post about my rat with tumor. Thank you so much for all your kind messages and tips, but we put our baby down today. I am devastated and don’t know what to do.

Yesterday he didn’t want to eat anything, he ate just a few treats and I didn’t see him drink anything since morning, and didn’t even poop for 2-3 days (idk how about in the cage, but he always used to poop during our 2-3 hours daily free roam time).

Today morning he didn’t even want his most favorite treats. And he wasn’t washing himself properly due to his big tummy.

He had no energy, wanted to sleep all day long, even in free roam time when he used to run around the whole time.

We were kinda ready for this moment, it was going downhill with him pretty fast, so we already got 2 new 6 and 7 weeks old rats (from a breeder) last week, so his brother wouldn’t have to be alone for a long time.

But here comes my question, its only a week of their quarantine, and they seem ok, should I keep them the other week separate or should I start their meetings now? I was thinking about starting already, so he wouldn’t have to be alone for a week, but lmk what u think.

I’m so sad, I want him back chilling on my shoulder. I can’t stop thinking about how small he was and all the mischief he had done. We will miss u forever my sweetheart. 🐀💗☹️

Hi guys, I already shared about my baby Tob having a tumor but it’s getting worse and worse. I can’t stop thinking about euthanasia. Except for not wanting to play with his brother he is still acting fine, pooping normal, eating (I guess he eats more), drinking and cuddling. Even touching the tummy doesn’t seem like a problem to him.

I just need advice about the euthanasia. Is he hurting? How can I know if it really hurts him? The vet just said if he eat, drinks, poops, acts normal then its ok, but it doesn’t look ok if u get me. It just looks so much bigger then before, its getting bigger fast.

I want him to live the longest he can, but not for the cost of him hurting.

I just need some advice and someone to look at the photos. Thanks.
