I chose Quicksilver M3P because it's quicker than Black 0 to 60
Picking this beauty up tomorrow!! 0.03 seconds quicker than black as it reflects sunlight so has less weight. Black absorbs sunlight = more weight. FACT!

Picking up brand new M3P tomorrow, walked around it today and they replaced a curb rash wheel (in another post) with this wheel that has a chunk of rubber missing from side wall. Someone told me this could be a safety problem down the line, you don't know how close it is to the inner structure. Should I make them replace it?
EV haters always say: “Yeah, but it takes 20 minutes to charge. Gas takes 2 minutes.”
But here’s my recent experience...
Last week I had a Tesla loaner for a 400-mile round trip to work (while I await my car.) As I got near the office, I stopped at a Supercharger to top up enough to get home later. The screen said 20 minutes.
I plugged in and realized something: I had nowhere else to be for the next 20 minutes. No urgency, No rushing.
So I strolled across the parking lot to a hotel lobby. Took in the morning for once. Birds chirping. People coming and going. Made myself a free cup of tea like I owned the place. Then I sat outside on their patio furniture, watched a few Teslas roll in, and just chilled.
For 20 minutes, life kind of paused.
No emails. No traffic stress. No rushing to the next thing. Just sitting there, tea in hand, being present for once.
Honestly? It was probably the best 20 minutes of my day.
Had I been getting gas, I would’ve rushed into the station, rushed to pump, rushed to pay, rushed back into the car, and rushed back onto the road.
For what?
To get to work 20 minutes sooner? Can't wait to pick up M3P on Sunday.
Just bought a Mazda CX50 2024, with 25k miles for $13k off Copart. KBB value about $26k. Had a hole in the door and pillar, so USAA salvaged it. $100 DIY fix: steal putty to fill the holes + bondo + primer + paint + clearcoat. Not perfect as I have no skills in this at all...first time trying this fix. Now my daughter has an awesome car for the next 10 years hopefully. 4th car of Copart...best way to go if you're not trying to make a profit from resale.
Tesla gave me a Long Range RWD loaner for a couple days while I wait to pick up my M3P on Sunday.
I purposely never test drove the M3P because I wanted to save that first “oh crap” moment for my actual car. Not gonna lie, the RWD already feels stupid quick, so now I’m slightly concerned the M3P is going to rearrange my organs.
Anyone else remember their first Performance drive?
Also, my kids have been warned: no snacks, no drinks, and absolutely no bowel movements in the back seat during launch mode.
Picking up brand new M3P on Sunday. Noticed heavy curb rash on real wheel after checking it out today. Hopefully they will replace this wheel by Sunday. They said it was for a customer in New York who never showed up, so it's reassigned to me in North Carolina. Anyone else seen this issue at delivery? Car could be used?
Because it's not delivered yet! Another 3 to 5 weeks of this stupidity 4 times a month. Gas savings alone on my old Lexus LS460 is going to pay for 60% of the finance charges. Cannot come soon enough.
So I went to pick up my brand new M3P yesterday and had to reject it because of scratches on the door. What is really annoying...they were obvious scratches and the Tesla detailers should have flagged it and told me up front. Also found scratches on the front fender wheel arch and missing clips that hold the front wheel arch trim on! Back on the 4 week waitlist for another one. They did offer me 3 months free FSD on my next car, so that's something.
Appointment is on Monday. I went to scope out the car in the Tesla lot yesterday and found 2 small scratches on the rear lower door about an inch long. My nail digs into them so it's deeper than clear coat. Should I reject it on Monday?
