It has been 9 months since the sextortion. I think the scammer was Nigerian. They didn't know my social media accounts or my phone number. They threatened to make me go viral on the internet. At first, I pleaded with them, but then I said I was going to the police and blocked them. I don't know if they shared it or not, and this uncertainty is stressing me out. I learned that these people are called "Yahoo Boys." Does anyone know their working principles? Do they actually leak it?

​9 months ago (August 8, 2025), I was blackmailed by someone I suspect was from Nigeria. They persistently asked for my social media accounts and phone number, but I didn't give them (thank God I didn't). After talking for a while, the blackmail started, and I was extremely terrified. At that moment, I even considered suicide. I told them I was going to the police (although I didn't actually go) and blocked them. I still don't know if there was a leak or not.
