I went to an estate sale recently and got a huge box of satin, taffeta, and chiffon fabrics for $5, and I did not realize that in order to hand-sew them, I would need to get new tools. Unfortunately, I am not in a position where I could fit a sewing machine into my budget, so I am really hoping that someone could provide advice and links to the needles, thread, and other tools I would need to make a project successful. I would estimate that I have about 50 yards or so of fabric, so I have plenty to practice with. Any knowledge would be really helpful.
