Torn Earlobe From Piercing? Looking for Advice

Hi everyone,

I got my ears pierced about 7 years ago. All of my other piercings healed without any issues and don’t look like this. This on though has had some irritation on and off over the years. Usually I would just try to loosen the piercing a bit and hope for the best (I know, I should’ve gotten it checked out earlier...). I also rarely/ never take my piercings out, but I recently noticed this one looked much darker around the hole compared to my other piercings when i was cleaning it so i took it out. When I took it out, I noticed this tear/hole in the front of my lobe. I’ve never had this happen before, so I’m looking for some advice.

Would something like this require stitches, or has anyone gone through something similar? I’m feeling pretty anxious because the hole looks quite large. The backing of the earring isn’t a large hole it only looks like this from the front.

Please be kind, as this is making me a bit anxious. Thank you!
