What jewelry should I be using in my bridge?

I got my bridge pierced nearly a year ago now (July 17th of last year) and its not fully healed, obviously. While I know its normal for a bridge to take this long to heal im wondering what I can do to limit bumps and help my piercing heal the fastest it can!

I currently have a stainless steel 14g straight barbell in. What are some better metals i could be putting in my bridge?

Please leave links to some budget friendly barbells that I should look into!

Did my piercer pierce my ear wrong?

I got this piercing a little under 3 months ago, this is the first time I'm piercing anything other than the typical ear lobe so Im not sure if everything is ok with this. I wanted an industrial piercing in which I can wear a barbell earring. The picture itself is about a week after I first got it pierced because my ear wasnt loving the bioplast so I replaced them with glass and they're not as visible (they've been healing WAY better since then). My piercer told me he will do 2 separate piercings because barbells dont heal as well and will take longer and that was fine with me since I wanted that anyway. My problem is that I think he pierced the top one straight down and I dont think a bar will reach the other hole without me twisting my ear.. is that normal? I do have a bar I can put in and show what I mean if needed, but wanted to see if this is typical and if once it fully heals something will change. 2nd picture shows where I want the bar

I’m fat - do I have the right anatomy for a belly button piercing?

I’m wanting to get one today… please, any advice would be great!

Is my piercing rejecting?

I’ve had my piercing for about 7 months now, downsized around march (2nd pic is right after I got it downsized) and been okay with cleaning. You can clearly see the bar showing more and a bit of irritation but I also noticed the skin around the bar looking white, idk if u can see it in this photo. If anyone who’s piercing rejected could help me out and tell me if these were signs u noticed before it rejected. I love my eyebrow piercing and I’m not ready to let go 🥲.

Should I keep it empty or do jewelry again?

So, found out last night when I tried it for fun that my belly piercing that I’ve had taken out for almost 9 years is actually still totally open, I put a horseshoe ring in just to try it but I’ve had a lot of weight gain and loss and gain and loss including a pregnancy - I have loose skin on my belly/stretch marks/cellulite and plan to hopefully lose more weight… my question is, should I go get a proper belly ring for it and keep it in? Or should I just leave it out? My kid’s dad said that he doesn’t think it looks good because it sits a little crooked now because my skin is more lax, but I also don’t have proper jewelry in it right now so it can move more freely than it would with proper jewelry, I need opinions - any opinions welcome. One of my friends said it doesn’t look bad and I should keep it.

13 month old helix not healed

What can I do about my helix? Ive had it for over a year now and it still gets crusty and agitated. I spray with saline (not every day so as to not over-clean it) and I use a piercing pillow to sleep. (The skin around it is red and slightly raised, so I know the piercing channel isn’t close to healed yet even without taking out the jewellery)

I’m desperate to get a hoop in there but don’t want to force it before it’s ready, is there anything I can do to help it along? Will the end ever be in sight?

Piercing is 13 months old
6mm threadless (gold plated) titanium flatback
Followed correct downsizing requirements
Use brand neilmed piercing spray

2 month old vertical labret 16g 8mm implant grade titanium bump

my vertical labret in mid/early may. i babied it hard and all was well. early june i tried to change the ball myself, very much my bad. couldnt get the ball back in and it came out. slid it back in and lymph fluid dried around it which kept it in overnight so my piercer could put the ball back on. learned my lesson lol. that def irritated it hard but i babied it and didnt do shit like that again. a few weeks later i got it changed by my piercer, as went well but obv thats still trauma to it. no bump, no nothing. around then i developed a habit of curling my lip out (and in turn pushing the piercing). it took me a bit to kick, but i kicked it about a week and a half ago. around a week ago i developed a bump that has now turned into this. im gonna see my piercer on thursday, but im an anxious person and am nervous im gonna lose it. ive been using neilmed sailne spray and LITHA as much as possible for the past few days and i know it wont go away overnight, but the bump has gotten bigger. is this probs a piercing bump? am i cooked? any tips for the rest of my lips in regards to the saline, just put some aquaphor on my lips (obv avoiding piercing itself) before spraying the saline?

thanks in advance (pics really cropped bc last time i posted somewhere abt a piercing people focused more on my acne then the actual question sry)

Noticed 2 holes in one part of my navel piercing?

I'm not sure if guys can see what I see, but please help. I got my piercing done in December 2024, so it's roughly 18 months old. And today I tried to change the jewelry and saw what looks to be TWO holes in the underpants of the belly piercing where the jewelry slides through. I took the jewelry out to clean it and I pushed it in without looking and it wouldn't go in. Only to look and see that there's basically what looks like 2 holes? in the bottom of my piercing. Second image shows I circled what the two holes are that I'm seeing.

The white is the hole I tried to push it into without looking and the blue is the hole that it went through and where the jewelry has been in since (what I'm assuming is) the beginning.

Please can someone tell me if it's migration because I really doubt that. I changed the jewelry like 9 months after to a dangley and it was completely fine. Then changed to a shorter normal bar for maybe the last 5 months?

Will it be okay? Because if I have to take it out I really don't want to.

Where do I shop for safe jewelry?

My piercer is a member of the APP (Association of Safe Piercers) and so when he recommends jewelry to me it’s always jewelry that’s been approved through the APP, but the issue is that the APP approved jewelry is often really expensive, not my style and only sold wholesale. Does anyone have any recommendations for where I can shop for safe jewelry that matches my style? (shown in pics) Could I just get safe jewelry from like amazon or something? Does it need to be APP approved?

I have an industrial barbell, 3 lobe piercings, a conch, a rook, and I’m looking to get a daith.

Belly button piercing on Accutane.

I’ve heard that it’s bad to get any piercing while on Accutane but my friend and I have wanted to get a naval piercing for ages. How bad is it to get pierced while on Accutane and is it just not recommended or outright gonna mess you up?

I want thoughts and opinions on this anti eyebrow placement

Got this piercing I’ve been wanting for years a few days ago but I’ve been getting conflicting inputs on the placement. I did research before getting it and talked with my piercer and he told me this spot was best because it had the most meat to work with. I definitely don’t hate how it looks but I did wanna get different opinions just to make sure. Is this too low or high?

do i have the anatomy for angel fangs?

obviously not going to get this as a first piercing since it's not recommended, but once i get the money saved up and a septum done as a "test" to see how my body reacts, im def gonna try!

if not, i was wondering if any other lip piercings would suit my face as i really like the look of them!

Are these piercings symmetrical?

I just got both earlobes pierced today, and I'm looking for some honest opinions.

My piercer measured everything beforehand, and I was assured the placement looked good. Looking in the mirror, I am questioning how symmetrical that seen to me, butI'm aware that as someone with OCD I'm extremely picky about symmetry

Maybe the biggest thing that's throwing me off is that one stud feels slightly closer to my head than the other, even though visually I can only suspect if there's actually a difference. I'm wondering if I'm just noticing that one of my ears is shaped differently or naturally sits at a slightly different angle, or if the piercings themselves are a little asymmetrical.

I'd really appreciate honest feedback. If they're not perfectly symmetrical, that's okay I just want to know if it's something noticeable or if I'm overanalyzing because they're brand new. I would also be interested in seeing if maybe my ears truly are shaped differently?

Thanks!

What piercing should I get

Hello, I’m getting my septum re-pierced soon and the store has a 10% discount if I get a second piercing. I want a lip piercing but I don’t know which one to get. I want something that won’t cause gum damage or show visible scars😢

Any advice or suggestions will mean a lot💖

So tired of infections

This is going to be such a rant I’m sorry. So a little bit of context is that I got a lobe piercing as a 3 month old and had it for years before I finally removed the earring to put in other ones.

At some point the earring hole got tinier and tinier and just closed up so a year ago I went to get it pierced and well a month later it got infected with a sterile earring in. My mistake apparently was that I removed the earring and idk if I was supposed to do that or not the doctors weren’t of much help either so I removed it anyway.

This time however, I put in real gold earrings and even gave them a saline wash and it still got infected two weeks later :(
It’s so frustrating cus all I wanna do is wear earrings because I absolutely LOVE earrings. I don’t even know what to do because the doctors just gave me antibiotics but I’m scared even after that it will just keep getting infected.
