A little over 6 weeks old forward helix with an internally(?) threaded barbell. Not been downsized yet, but I’m wondering if I should or if I should just take it out. Unsure if it migrated or if it was just pierced like that (too shallow?). It’s healed surprisingly well, with only two bad bouts of inflammation that went down in a few days. Cleaned at least once daily with plain saline.

Attached pictures of the fresh piercing and pics from today. Tried to get a similar angle, but I don’t have a picture of the front from when it was fresh. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I think I’m going down the mental rabbit hole.

so, I’ve got my helix pierced around 10 days ago. the first week everything was going smoothly and I was sure nothing would happen since i’ve been cleaning it 2 times per day (sometimes even 3). Around 4 days ago my friend accidentally threw a ball at my ear and it hurt a lot, but I washed it right after and everything returned to normal. Yesterday it started pulsating and today it started swelling, this morning it wasn’t that swelled, but right now it’s really swelled and is pulsating a lot. What should I do to heal this (probably) infection FAST before my parents make me take it out???

got my third lobe on Saturday and today Thursday it’s very itchy and red, it’s still swollen but not like crazy

Age: 5 days
Material titanium and flat back inner threading I think
It has not been downsized
Saline spray 1 to 3 times per day

Wondering if this is normal? The other ear seems fine this is the only red itchy one

I had both sides pierced almost 3 years ago. I took one out and then just recently got it repierced because they were uneven. I feel like I’m just too critical of myself or something because they still look off. I keep going back and forth though on whether they’re even or not. I know they’re definitely better but maybe not perfect. I’m thinking maybe I should get an extra piercing behind the one side so then it looks intentional.

i’ll put my questions first and then the story below so you don’t have to read a lot if you don’t feel like it.

MY QUESTION:
What do you think of the placement? Does it seem like I have the right anatomy for this piercing? should I take it out? I’m not sure if it’s higher than an industrial is meant to be.

HOW I ACCIDENTALLY GOT THIS PIERCING:

my friend and i went to get piercings today and she told me she’s gotten ten piercings at this shop and they were all great. I admit, I really should have tried to do more research before getting pierced here. That’s my bad.

My friend got pierced first, and when they pierced her ear the piercer marked it with the pen first and checked the placement and asked her what she thought of the placement.

When it was my turn, I thought the piercer was marking my ear with the marker, but it was actually the needle! And I didn’t hear the sound everyone says it makes when you get a conch piercing. Then the needle went through my ear a second time. and I was really confused. And my friend told me “…That’s not a conch piercing.” I thought she was messing with me, but nope, I actually have an industrial piercing now.

The thing is, I have always wanted an industrial, but I went to a piercer for one like three years ago and she told me that i didn’t have the anatomy for it. So I’m a little worried about that.

Also if I had known I was getting an industrial today I would have prepared more and like, gotten a shorter haircut first bc I’m probably going to want to avoid going to the barber for quite a while with a healing industrial piercing.

You can also see that I got the conch anyway because I paid up front and i wasn’t really mad about the industrial in the moment because I was just very shocked, and tend to have delayed reactions to things. I’m kind of still in shock about it, it was 100% unexpected and I didn’t know it was happening until it was done.

I’m 7weeks in and my piercer shortened the bar after 4 and said as long as I can see the metal I’m good but this feels like more nested than most ppls pics. Also pushing them in and out of the nest does not hurt.

nothing is working i tried everything should i just take it out. Does it look like a keloid or just a regular bump?

Hello guys, i was wondering i got my piercing in April but a month ago i accidentally bumped it and this bump showed up between the two ends of the bar. I have been cleaning with saline but it hasn't improved. It's not painful, It doesn't have any discharge and i have never changed the jewelry.

Does this look like an irritation bump or is it being rejected n what should I do to make it heal?

I tried changing my jewelry today but some stuff came out of the top. It wasn't pus bc I could feel it and it retracted right back inside when I pushed it with the bar in the opposite direction, and the new jewelry I got would get stuck in it. It went in painless with some minor bleeding, it's been 2-3 months since I got it and I clean it everyday twice. Help me pls I couldn't find any information online on what this could be or what causes this

This giant bump has formed on my face under my eyebrow piercing over the past few days. My piercing was fully healed previous to the bump. It’s been steady growing in width and hight and I need to know of this is something I need to worry about. It’s warm to the touch and very painful.

I haven’t hit/ snagged the piercing or my face recently. Can I pop it ? Does this look like an infection or a cyst?

I’m not gonna lie to you all, I have been popping it in hopes it will go away. It won’t. My mom had got an eyebrow piercing at the same time same day by the same piercer and is also having the same problem. I am currently soaking it. I do all of the things that’s required and I’ve had it since June. please, I need help.

I had my double conch piercings done early August at a professional in Spain with surgical steel 10mm flatback bar. After about 5 weeks (mid September) everything started catching on the bars an I had irritation bumps on each of the piercings. No severe swelling, puss, pain, heat or other warning symptoms. Just looked angry.

I had them both downsized to surgical steel 8mm bar, one with a flatback and other with a ballpark to let some air between them as they irritated each other when both were flatbacks. They both felt better within the next morning.

It's now early October and has been about 3 weeks. Already see a difference (see picture) and is continuing to do my best in order for them to heal nicely. I currently have nine other ear piercings, ( I have retired five the last decade due to either not wanting them for the estethic or them refusing to heal... my poor constellation lobe piercings. Still sad) so I know healing cartilage piercings can be a pain.

I spay with saline once or twice a day bought at the piercer. Drying it with cool setting hairdryer and don't wear my hair down. I don't sleep on that side either so ear is safe from being disturbed too much.

How did your healing go? Any fancy tips or tricks?

Double conch piercings Material : Surgical steel. Back: Flatback and ballback Size: currently 8mm Healing time: 8 weeks / Two months

Just took out my nose piercing last night and it looks like this. Do I just keep cleaning it with saline solution and it'll just heal normally?? Not sure what the right approach is here or if there even is anything I can do...

i love my tongue piercing. it's my favorite piercing i've gotten and i've had a LOT. unfortunately i seem to have bad luck. i've had it done twice (technically 3 times) and i just can't seem to get it done with the right angle and placement, and now it has a bump. i'll try to explain:

on july 3rd, i had it pierced for the first time. it was crooked and not centered so i removed it on july 18th. it was 14g this time.

i had it re-pierced on september 4th at a different studio and she technically pierced it twice. the first time was still not centered so she removed it and we re-did it right away and i was happy with it. lots of blood and it hurt like a bitch but i was so glad that it was finally right. it was 12g this time.

in the last couple days, i noticed this bump forming in front of the hole and two days ago, when i was touching the bump to see what it felt like (it's kinda hard and a bit tender but not really painful) some juice came out???? like yellowish fluid. i rinsed my mouth really well with diluted hydrogen peroxide.

today i noticed the bump is still there and may or may not have grown a bit? and the more i look at the placement, i swear it's still not centered. i'm just so over it. i love this piercing so i think i can live with the placement but i'm not sure how to troubleshoot the bump. it hasn't leaked any other fluid and doesn't really hurt. is this scar tissue? or a pocket of fluid? what can or should i do?

can anyone else relate to my struggle. i love this piercing but two different piercers and 3 attempts still can't seem to find the center of my tongue and now this bump... i'm so sad... plz help, any advice or input appreciated

Bro what do I do 😭 I’m using salt wash twice a day, tried a no pull disc, it’s just not healing. I have the other side of my nose pierced and never had this problem.
