i accidentally got an industrial today… does it look okay?

i’ll put my questions first and then the story below so you don’t have to read a lot if you don’t feel like it.

MY QUESTION:
What do you think of the placement? Does it seem like I have the right anatomy for this piercing? should I take it out? I’m not sure if it’s higher than an industrial is meant to be.

HOW I ACCIDENTALLY GOT THIS PIERCING:

my friend and i went to get piercings today and she told me she’s gotten ten piercings at this shop and they were all great. I admit, I really should have tried to do more research before getting pierced here. That’s my bad.

My friend got pierced first, and when they pierced her ear the piercer marked it with the pen first and checked the placement and asked her what she thought of the placement.

When it was my turn, I thought the piercer was marking my ear with the marker, but it was actually the needle! And I didn’t hear the sound everyone says it makes when you get a conch piercing. Then the needle went through my ear a second time. and I was really confused. And my friend told me “…That’s not a conch piercing.” I thought she was messing with me, but nope, I actually have an industrial piercing now.

The thing is, I have always wanted an industrial, but I went to a piercer for one like three years ago and she told me that i didn’t have the anatomy for it. So I’m a little worried about that.

Also if I had known I was getting an industrial today I would have prepared more and like, gotten a shorter haircut first bc I’m probably going to want to avoid going to the barber for quite a while with a healing industrial piercing.

You can also see that I got the conch anyway because I paid up front and i wasn’t really mad about the industrial in the moment because I was just very shocked, and tend to have delayed reactions to things. I’m kind of still in shock about it, it was 100% unexpected and I didn’t know it was happening until it was done.

are "clocky" names actually a thing? am I overthinking this?

In like 2021, I legally changed my name to Finnegan, and used the nickname Finn most of the time. It took me like two years to choose the name Finn, and I used a placeholder nickname in the meantime that was a unisex variation of my deadname. I chose Finnegan as my name because Adventure Time has always been super important to me and I wanted three syllables in my first name, plus I have some Irish ancestry.

At the time, I had no idea Finn was going to be a stereotypical "trans name". I've received occasional comments about it over the years. Now, I pass 100% of the time, but I got too in my head about being named Finn and thinking it'd clock me as trans to other trans people who might be chronically online. I don't want people asking if I'm trans. I'm 3 years on T and have had top surgery, and I pass as cis. Plus, I have met cis guys named Finn before, so it's not like it's a Trans Name™.

I moved to a new country a few months ago and started using my middle name because I was overthinking being named Finn and I didn't want to mess up my chance to be fully stealth. Finn's not a very common name in the country I moved to, but I'm also very obviously not from here so maybe it's okay? People know that my first name is Finn and I've mentioned that I use my middle name because it's a more common name in this country. My issue is, I've been using my middle name for a few months, but I still strongly identify with being named Finn and still use it in my internal monologue, and kind of wonder if I should have just stuck with my first name.

I kind of am considering telling people I want to go back to using my first name. Or introducing myself as Finn from now on. I don't know. This post is partially a vent I guess but also I'm asking if I overthought it. Part of my decision to use my middle name is because right before I moved I got clocked two separate times by really loud and proud nonbinary people, and one of them mentioned my name being Finn, and it made me overthink whether or not I pass because I really want to be stealth (and I am stealth, but I'm thinking I may have given too much weight to the name thing).
