Dog onesided epistaxis
hello,
I'm looking for some insights (and mainly hope), as my 8 year old golden retriever is having several one sided epistaxis episodes for the last few days. We have already took her to the vet, they ran some labs, the only finding was that she was slightly anemic, and we are supplementing for that. She's booked for a rhynoscopy next week to understand what's going on, but from what I've read, I'm extremely worried. I guess the best case scenario is that it's a foreign object or something related to her teeth? (she has bleeding gums sometimes and is prone to tartar).
My question is, what's the bleeding like in these cases? In her case, it is mainly caused by sneezing, but sometimes starts out of nowhere. Yesterday night, she had the worst episode in terms of amount of blood, but otherwise, it drips occasionally and when she sneezes. She also has some reverse sneezing episodes.
Thank you in advance
