[PC/Steam] [~2010-2016] quirky indie medieval/renaissance fantasy storytelling game like Oregon Trail

Platform(s): PC, probably through steam

Genre: indie fantasy storytelling

Estimated year of release: not entirely sure, but my guess is anywhere between 2010-2016

Graphics/art style: 2D kind of Cal-arts semi-cartoony art style. European medieval/renaissance aesthetics.

Notable characters: if I remember correctly, you choose medieval archetype characters to “play” as, they might’ve been somewhat color coordinated? (A red, blue, green, yellow character?)

Notable gameplay mechanics: sort of like mario party where each character takes turns on one screen. similar to Oregon trail too in that “random” things happen to your character (I could be talking out of my ass, but things like a plague…I remember very distinctly one of options of things happening to you being some sort of transformation like werewolf or vampire.) very little “real” gameplay, only randomized incidents. I also remember with four characters, games lasted about 40 or so minutes, and the replay-ability of the game was very poor. Very much a story driven game. Had a narrator?

Other details: I have been agonizing over this lol. I remember a few YouTubers (I’m not sure who…) I liked watching this, but I genuinely don’t know. I don’t think it was massively popular. I remember the art style being cool and funny things happening to characters. I also remember the background being a kind of cream color, but also a very red Italian-like port city being featured. Unfortunate but funny deaths and happenings. Definitely remember that the game got old very quick.

Anyone who could help, please! Thank you so much!
