[XBOX 360] [2000s] Videogame where you play as a mercenary who dies and gets superpowers in a postapocalyptic world after a demon invasion

[XBOX 360] [2000s] Videogame where you play as a mercenary who dies and gets superpowers in a postapocalyptic world after a demon invasion

Another game I remember playing as a kid. The opening cutscene tells the backstory of the world: centuries ago, an army from Hell invaded humanity. (I'm not completely sure they were actually demons, though. My gut tells me it probably might have instead been an evil wizard leading an undead army). The whole introduction was presented like an old legend, using black ink drawings on a yellow, parchment-like background.

After completing the tutorial, another cutscene plays. The protagonist is suddenly backstabbed by a zombie he failed to notice and dies. In the afterlife/spirit realm, he hears a mysterious voice offering him a deal: he can come back to life in exchange for his soul. He accepts the deal and is resurrected, now possessing supernatural powers centered around one of his arms.

He returns to the main base of the mercenary gang he's a member of, which is located in the middle of a vast desert. There he reunites with his lifelong rival, a woman who is almost certainly the protagonist's love interest as well. I think she was also the leader of the gang, or at least one of its highest-ranking members. Other characters described her as one of the deadliest warriors in the desert. the only way i vagely remember her was someone similar to furiosa from mad max for some reason.

As for the gameplay, I only remember it vaguely. It was a 3D action game where you fought groups of zombies and other monsters using a large sword (I think it was a claymore) while also relying on powerful supernatural abilities granted by your cursed arm. Those abilities seemed to consume or require some kind of mana meter that was filled by defeating enemies.

The closest comparison I can think of is Dantes Inferno. It had a similar fast paced melee focused combat mixed with supernatural powers, although I can't remember if the mechanics were exactly the same.

[DOS][90s] Platformer. Character is 2 eyeballs

The game I am looking for looks similar to the 2 images above.

I am not sure if DOS is the original platform of the game. However I played it on PC.

I remember that i played this DOS game in around the year 2000 as a kid. the character is just 2 eyeballs, you collect items that look like lollipops, and the enemies are moving rectangles with just dot eyes (they are similar to the yellow boxes with dot eyes in super mario world but they have different color). the game had only 10 stages. the graphics were much better and the structures that constitute the stages were green and had brick-like patterns. you could also build custom stages. i remember the name of the game in my PC was "construct" but i believe that's not the real name bc other games in my PC for some reason had false names as well. and i could not find any DOS game that has that name anyway. i searched in the internet and i found all my childhood DOS games except this game.

I would appreciate it if anyone help me find it.

[PC][Automation/Factory][2020's?]Factory game I saw somewhere this past week but forgot to make a bookmark for

Title. I remember seeing a snippet of some automation/factory game recently that looked *extremely* similar to Shapez 2, but I don't think that game was it. It had a similar vibe with its art style, camera placement, 3D models etc., but what made it stand out to me was it had some sort of encapsulation feature. In the video I saw, they made a simple machine that took X amount of a resource as inputs and output Y. Standard stuff, but then they put that in a box with clear input/output that they were able to copy/paste other places. You could see what's going on inside these boxes but for the most part they were solid, made everything look so much neater and more satisfying. Artist rendition of this phenomena below:

https://preview.redd.it/fzyurycy1dbh1.png?width=631&format=png&auto=webp&s=832a6bf7bc4887966873fc86b93c9a758a5de455

I don't remember if I saw this on Twitter or Steam or somewhere else but I'll keep checking next time I get the chance to. I'm just hoping that someone also saw the exact clip I was talking about recently and can recognize it. I don't think it's Shapez 2 since I don't see anything like what I beautifully drew out above in any of the trailers or screenshots but I guess that doesn't 100% disqualify it, I'm sure there's a lot they don't show

[PSX] [1999] Searching for a lost game in my memories(rpg maybe)

I might ask about some English abbreviations; I speak Spanish and don't know much about them.

I remember a game that was similar to Diablo graphically, but it was a top-down (that's how I remember it) isometric view, not "sideways diagonally" like Diablo. I think is called top-down.

I remember playing it once or twice and then never again. To give more details, it was like an RPG, but very, very strange; it seemed unfinished. I remember the character entering a room, It was closing the door And if you didn't defeat all the enemies you couldn't get out (I never managed to get out)

All of that after starting the game, in the first or second room.

I also remember that the graphics looked pretty good but were quite strange.

If you know of anything similar, please let me know. I've searched for games, but none of them look quite like they do in my memories.

I used the translator, it might be annoying

[PC] [1992-1996] Sci Fi 3D Turn Based Strategy game with long range artillery fighting

I am trying to find a game I played when I was a teenager on my PC between 1992-1996. I remember it was from a demo disc but I can't remember where that disc came from. Here are the major points I remember:

- Sci Fi turn based strategy where the units were groups of vehicles. View was top down on typically brown open landscapes resembling mountains or deserts with a fairly simple palette of colors overall.
- Attacking would consist of movement and/or attacking via long range missiles or other artillery.
- When an attack would happen, it would sort of zoom into the unit being attacked so you could see the early 3D model goodness of the vehicles and see how damaging the attack was.

Since it was a demo disc, i didnt get too much in the way of variety to provide much more info like vehicle types or whatever. I do know its not Star General, or Metal Marines. The . To the best of my knowledge, there was little to no real base building,

[PC][2005-2010] First-person horror game with mummies in a temple and a giant boss

I’m looking for an old PC first-person shooter that I played around 2010 on Windows 7 from a DVD.

It was single-player and you played as a soldier using modern guns.

There were many missions, and one mission took place in an ancient temple with coffins. Mummies came out of the coffins, and there was a giant mummy/zombie boss.

The graphics were good for that time. It had horror elements.

It’s NOT: Left 4 Dead, Painkiller, Will Rock, Hellforces, NecroVisioN, Legendary, or Clive Barker’s Jericho.

[PC][2010] LOOKING FOR OLD RTS SWITCHING TO THIRD PERSON

Looking for a PC strategy/RTS hybrid game played around 2010 or little bit later.

It has realistic medieval/ancient graphics similar to 'Eyes of War'.

You play from a top-down view to command troops, but you can switch to a close-up/third-person view to control a main hero or captain.

There are no guns, only old-world melee weapons and bows, and the heroes have distinct special abilities when fighting on the ground.

[PC, probably][2010s, maybe] A melody in Librarian is identical to one from another game

My wife is playing Librarian and one of the music tracks has a simple melody in it which is identical to one I've heard before in another game. The melody (probably in the wrong key) goes

| C E G | G# G E |

And repeats for a few bars before changing key.

I can't place where I've heard it before but it's sort of light and airy. It's evoking being above the clouds, looking down. Whatever it is, I think it's just a small part of the game, so it could be from some sort of mini-game.

Sorry if this is all a bit vague. Feel free to ask questions.

Edit: It's the plucked (harp?) melody that starts to come in quietly here: https://www.youtube.com/live/xpf2h2bBEgQ?t=1665

Edit 2: I've just figured it out myself! It's from the wingsuit challenges in Just Cause 3, when you're hanging out of the helicopter, waiting to drop. Thanks all!

[unknown platform] [2010-2015] Searching for the name of a cosy magic game I was playing when I was younger

Hello !

I am trying to find out the name of a game I was playing when I was younger.

I'd say it was between 2010-2015 (max) in France. It was in a magical world, very aesthetically pleasing, a bit like animes but without characters with Genshin-like visuals. You could ride creatures that resembled 4-legged dinosaurs (quite like this one 🦕 but make it blue or violet), and you could play online with other people but I don't think it was really in order to fight them. I remember beautiful night visuals with lots of blue tones, and with plants in the background. The visuals in terms of scenery were "Ori and the wild forest"-like. I'd say it was kind of a cosy game. I was playing on a PC. I remember playing with my female friend of the time, when we were a bit less than 15. I am also a woman so maybe it was a bit of a "girly" game.

Does anyone have an idea of what that game could be ?

Sorry for the lack of real information, but that is all I have haha

Have a good day !

[PC][1997-2003]Isometric shooter with aliens

My dad used to play this game back when he worked for this one company.

It was VERY fallout in building style and decor but much much darker. You had a lot of grenades and guns and involved going on missions in a fairly open world fighting aliens and maybe zombies. Very violent for the time with lots of blood and gore. I remember playing it while he had meetings and finding it pretty hard. It was NOT turn based.

EDIT: Looks similar to but darker than Alien shooter, and less FOV. You could also see the outsides of buildings as you worked your way through destroyed settlements. I also checked with my mom and apparently my dad left that job in 2001.

[PC] [2008] Unknown game featured in these pictures

I know this is a long shot, but if there anywhere that could answer this it’s here! These pictures were taken within minutes of each other in 2008 of my then 4 year old brother playing a game on our family computer. I would guess this was a CD-ROM game as we had many of those, but I truly have no idea. I have ruled out a few games I distinctly remember such as The Adventures of Mr Tickle and Jumpstart Advanced 1st Grade. My brother was in the back of the pictures, so unfortunately I do not have better quality :(

EDIT: I found two more images, but Reddit won’t let me add it to this post so here is a link https://imgur.com/a/kMYOQbL

If anyone recognizes what they see I would appreciate it! Thank you!

[Nintendo DS][Late 2000s / Early 2010s] 2D action platformer with three protagonists (fire sword, gauntlets, spear)

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying for a long time to remember the name of a Nintendo DS/3DS game I played years ago on an R4 card, and I’m stuck. I’ll describe it as precisely as I can in case it rings a bell for someone. Platform: I played it on a Nintendo 3DS, but the game itself was a DS ROM on an R4 (so it’s at least DS‑compatible, maybe DS‑only). Perspective / gameplay: 2D side‑view, corridor‑style levels (not open world). It was an action platformer with a lot of combat. Story structure: There was a story mode where you could choose between three different playable characters. Each character had their own independent storyline (you played “their route” separately, with different dialogues and bosses). Setting / atmosphere: The atmosphere was quite futuristic. I remember technology, maybe robots or a modern/future city vibe rather than medieval fantasy. Art style felt Japanese/anime‑like. Combat details (very specific memory): One character had red hair, wore red clothes, used a sword and mainly fire‑based attacks. Another character fought using their fists with some kind of gloves/gauntlets and relied on punching attacks. The third character used a spear/lance as their main weapon. Bosses and dialogues: Levels had regular enemies, bosses, and dialogue sequences that advanced each character’s story. Multiplayer: There was a local multiplayer mode on 3DS where you connected multiple consoles. As far as I remember, it was an arena‑style mode, mostly 1v1 battles (not co‑op story), separate from the main story mode. Other notes: It wasn’t a big famous franchise like Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, etc. It felt like a lesser‑known game or maybe even a homebrew or small publisher title. I don’t remember seeing a physical cartridge or box because I only had it on my R4, so I never saw an official cover art. I don’t recall any exact word from the title; if I had to guess, it might have had a “cool” or slightly edgy/futuristic name, but I’m really not sure. If anyone recognizes this combination (2D corridor action platformer, futuristic setting, three protagonists with sword/fire, fists, and spear, each with their own campaign, plus local arena 1v1 multiplayer on 3DS/R4), I’d really appreciate any suggestions. Even partial guesses or similar games could help me narrow it down. Thanks a lot in advance.

[PS4] [2020s] Teenagers on vacation trying not to get turnt into werewolves

Hello,

a friend of mine islooking for a game which she has played a few years ago.

You're playing multiple teenagers on a vacation home in the woods. It's a horror game.

You're exploring the house. They're sitting at a campfire in the evening and are hearing strange sounds.

They split up into groups of 2 or 3 and try to find the source of the sounds.

One group is in a treehouse or smth, another one are in the woods and one group is on the scrapyard.

Each of the groups get attacked by werewolves and either try to escape or get turnt into werewolves.

One gets bitten however you decide and you need to amputate him or put him down.

And there's a married couple who are responsible for creating and letting the werewolves loose.

Thanks! Since i'm not the one who played it, i can't answer any followup questions.

[NES] [Late 80s-90s] "Game & Watch style" game about "moving stairs"?

Hi, first message here. The game I'm describing above had a colorful background, resembling like a wall but with bricks and stuff. On my eyes, it looked like a genuine game from Nintendo, but maybe it was just third-party or a bootleg, because I can't recall any potential info on their websites. (fyi, I played this on a handheld that accepted tiny NES multicarts)

The character actually looks a bit like Mr. G&W with a more expressive face (kinda like the Chef game). The SFX may also had those G&W vibes, but with a regular background music on top.

Also, the levels didn't have any scroll at all, so it's not like SMB, Lode Runner, or even Bomberman. And the HUD was mostly a black border with letters but I don't remember everything on it. I quickly recreated a possible snapshot on MS Paint, sorry. (little icon is my own signature btw)

Anyway, if someone here has a clue on how this game was called, please let me know! Thank you!

[Mobile] [2020s] this game i used to download and delete just to use the character creator

hi! :)

a random memory popped into my head after i found these screenshots (they're the only ones i have)

i used to download this game over and over again just to use the character creation screen. while the game was downloading its assets, it would let you customize your character first, and then i'd usually just delete the game afterward, hahaha

i'm pretty sure it was an rpg, but i'm not 100% sure. i vaguely remember being able to choose a class (archer, sword, magic) before the customization part

i can't remember the name at all, and these screenshots are all i have. i've tried reverse image searching them, but because my character has pink hair, every result ends up being infinity nikki, which definitely isn't the game i'm looking for :(

[PC][2010–2016] 2D platformer with brutal trap deaths where you collect a gold idol.

I'm trying to find a PC game I played sometime between 2010 and 2016. It was a relatively small game (not a big AAA title).

What I remember:

- Platform: PC

- Genre: 2D platformer

- You play as a man, possibly wearing a black hat. I remember him looking a bit top-heavy.

- You can move left and right and jump.

- The levels are full of traps, and touching them results in fairly gory, bloody deaths.

- I don't remember there being enemies; the main challenge was avoiding traps.

- The objective was to complete each level and obtain a gold idol (or a golden statue/treasure).

The art style wasn't very pixelated—more detailed than an old 8-bit game.

I've looked at games like Spelunky, but it doesn't seem to be the one.

Any ideas?
