I’m planning my first long ship voyage and want to spend at least one leg at sea.
Date: TBD
No of days: Open
Cabin size: Flexible (2, 4 or 6)
I've got enough grey hair to know that 5 days with the wrong roommate feels like a month. I'd rather pick my cabin mates now than leave it to the shipping company’s version of ship roulette. It would also be great to find someone different to push me out of my comfort zone. I am also hoping to meet people who would be interested in future trips, especially car/bike.
My area of expertise is cyber security, so I prefer not to share too much of my personal details until we connect directly. I’m a not-so-young guy, fluent in English and Malayalam, with passable Hindi and not-so-passable Tamil (let’s be honest, my Tamil is mostly mispronounced Malayalam).
That said, I would love to travel with people who speak other languages, even if it means we have to use Google translate while you teach me your language. Just remind me to get the offline dictionary, otherwise we might end up making our own language.
While I have no problem with young travellers, I probably wouldn't be able to match their energy level. At the same time, I have a friend (late 20s) who has high energy and together, we hit a perfect middle ground. Unfortunately, they can't join me on this trip. Different energy levels can work, you never know.
Let’s talk and see if we have enough conversation to outlast 5 days of being completely offline.
