looking for travel companion / local guide for Rajasthan (last week of August)

Hi everyone

I’m a 55yr old woman based in Delhi planning a trip to Rajasthan (mainly Udaipur and possibly Jaipur / Jodhpur) in the last week of August. My husband can’t join because of work, so I’m looking for someone to travel with or a local who can show me around the main sights, markets, and lakes.

I’m open to either:

A fellow traveler who is also heading to Rajasthan around the same time and wants to share some days/activities, or

A local (any gender) who can act as a knowledgeable guide for a few days — paid, of course.

I’m interested in heritage sites, boat rides on Lake Pichola, good food, markets, and a relaxed pace rather than rushed sightseeing. Happy to split costs for transport or activities if we travel together.

If you’re interested or know someone reliable, please drop a comment or DM. I’d prefer to start with a video call or meet in a public place first for safety.

Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from people

[Tentative] Looking for 5–7 people for a cozy luxury Mussoorie/Landour winter trip ❄️🏔️

So me and my friends are planning a 4N/5D Mussoorie/Landour trip around Christmas week, roughly 23/24 Dec → 27/28 Dec.

It’s not 100% locked yet, but we’re seriously considering it and thought we’d see if there are some like-minded people here who’d want to join.

About us
Currently 3 guys are confirmed, all aged 21–24, travelling from Ahmedabad.
We’ve invited a few girls too, but nothing is confirmed yet. Ideally, we’d like to make this a group of around 8–10 people.
We’re especially hoping to get a few girls to join so the group isn’t 10 dudes fighting over the aux 😭😂
That said, this is not a “looking for girls” post — we’re looking for people who actually match the vibe.

🏡 What we’re planning
This is going to be much more of a cozy luxury winter staycation than a hardcore sightseeing trip.
We’ve been looking at some really beautiful, luxurious villas around Mussoorie/Landour. We’ve managed to find some pretty good deals, which is why we’re estimating around ₹50–80k total for the villa, depending on the property and final group size.

The general plan:
☕ Slow mornings
🍳 Cooking/eating together
🎶 Music + games + cards
🔥 Bonfire at the villa
🥃 Drinks for whoever wants them
🎬 Movies / late-night conversations / absolute nonsense
🌲 Maybe some nature walks/trails
🏔️ Explore Landour — Char Dukan, Landour Bakehouse, churches, cafés, viewpoints etc.

Basically we’re looking for that cold weather + beautiful villa + sweaters + food + music + bonfire + “why are we still awake at 4 AM?” experience.
And yes, we’d obviously love to see some snow ❄️
But snow isn’t guaranteed, so please don’t join expecting a Narnia DLC 😂

💰 Budget & travel
We’re estimating around ₹15–20k/person max, depending on the final group size and travel bookings.

We’re most likely travelling:
Ahmedabad → Delhi/Chandigarh → Mussoorie/Landour

Exact costs will be discussed transparently before anyone commits.

🤝 Important part
We’re not looking to randomly add strangers and book a villa together immediately.
Since we’ll be staying together for 4 nights, we’d rather get to know people first.

The process would basically be:
Reddit DM → chat → get to know each other → probably a group call → see if everyone vibes → finalise the group.

We’ll share the villa, approximate expenses, sleeping arrangements and plans before anyone commits.

Drinking is optional and nobody is expected or pressured to drink.
We’re basically looking for people who are:
Around our age
Chill and easy to talk to
Comfortable travelling with new people
Respectful of boundaries
Down for a relaxed/spontaneous trip
Interested in the overall experience and meeting new people

If this sounds like your kind of trip, DM me with a little about yourself — age, city, what you usually enjoy doing on trips, etc.
If we vibe, we’ll take it from there :)
P.S. If you’re 2–3 friends who’d like to join together, that’s completely fine too.

To everyone who replied to my last post ... thank you 🤍

I honestly didn’t expect that post about slow travel, finding a travel partner and eventually building a little off-grid life somewhere will get so many responses.

A lot of you asked me what this imaginary place actually looks like in my vision. It's difficult to put it into words. What I have in my vision is more like a feeling and a picture than a perfectly explained plan.

And honestly, after getting so many responses, I realized something...

  1. Trying to connect with everyone through posts, messages and somehow make it happen doesn't really work. You can't force that kind of connection.

  2. Maybe the place doesn’t need to be some untouched paradise in the middle of nowhere.Maybe I can simply love what I’m living right now ...

So,

Maybe the place doesn't exist yet.

Maybe the person doesn't know me yet.

But somehow, I feel like the story has already started 🌱

Some nights, you don’t need a destination. Just look up. 🌌✨ Milky Way over Hunder Village, Ladakh — where the desert meets the stars. 🏔️🌌

A reminder of how tiny we are… and somehow, how beautiful life can be.

Looking for 1–2 Trek Buddies | Hampta Pass | 8–12 September 2026

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a 5-day Hampta Pass trek from 8–12 September 2026 and looking for 1–2 trek buddies who would like to join.

I'm planning to take it at a comfortable pace rather than rushing through the trek, with an extra day at Balu Ka Ghera.

I'll also be filming the journey, so there may be occasional short stops for filming, but the trek itself is the priority.

If you're planning Hampta around the same dates and are looking for a buddy, DM me and we can discuss the plan.

Thanks!

29F | Looking for a travel companion

I'm looking for someone to travel with for a while, with the possibility of eventually building an off-grid life together.

I don't really travel for the sake of collecting places. I'd rather explore slowly, spend time in nature and different cultures and see where we feel most at home. I'm completely open to trying different places until we find somewhere that feels right and then staying, planting roots and creating a life there.

Simple living, nature, growing food, trees, maybe a little home of our own. Meditation or spirituality is a plus and listening to Osho together would definitely be intimate 🌷

Goa, Aug 26–30 — 2 guys looking for travel buddies 🚗🌴

Hey everyone!

Two of us are heading to Goa from Aug 26–30, and we're looking for 1–2 people who'd like to join us for all or part of the trip.

We're IT professionals, renting a self-drive car, and we're the kind of people who believe the journey is just as important as the destination. We enjoy road trips, discovering new places, good food, spontaneous detours and making the trip feel a little more memorable than a standard vacation.

We have a rough plan in mind, but we're keeping things flexible and don't want to over-plan everything.

If you're going to be in Goa around those dates and this sounds like your kind of trip, DM me. Happy to share the itinerary and details there and see if we click.

We'll split the usual trip expenses fairly (car, fuel, etc.).

Dates: Aug 26–30
Current group: 2
Looking for: 1–2 more

Just looking for good company, interesting conversations and people who enjoy the journey as much as the destination. 🚗🌴

DM if interested!

Looking for travel buddies from Chennai to explore Maharashtra 🏔️🌧️

I’m planning a trip from Chennai to Maharashtra and looking for a few people who’d be interested in joining me — even if we’re complete strangers right now. 😄

The rough plan is to explore places like:

📍 Pune

🌿 Lonavala

💦 Kallu Waterfalls

💦 Nanimachi Waterfalls

🏞️ Other beautiful places around Maharashtra, especially monsoon spots

I’m mainly looking for people who enjoy nature, waterfalls, road/train journeys, exploring new places, photography and just having a good time.

The idea is to plan the itinerary together, split the travel/stay expenses fairly, and keep things flexible rather than following a strict tour package.

Starting point: Chennai

Destination: Maharashtra

Travel dates: Flexible / can be discussed based on everyone's availability

Trip duration: Around 4–6 days, depending on the final plan

If you're from Chennai or anywhere along the route and interested, DM me with a little about yourself and your preferred dates. We can create a small group and discuss the itinerary, budget and travel arrangements together.

No need to know each other beforehand — that's kind of the point of this trip! 😄

Looking forward to meeting some fellow travellers. ✌️🏔️

Doctor here, planning a trip to some place after NEET PG exam

Hey, I have been so excited for the things that I would want to do after my exam, one of them is going on a trip. It was planned since a long time with my friend, but due to some reasons, either they are going with their families or preferring to stay home and relax.

But I feel I really need this trip after all this burnout, my friends advised me to go out with some random stranger, but at this point ik it's very difficult to find one who matches your vibe and energy.

But I still wanna give it a shot and see how things goes from there. Mostly college studying, graduated, or working people I m preferring, if from the same Medical field it would be better but not necessarily.

It gonna be between 1st-2nd week of September, mostly North India (still not decided)

Do let me know your opinions and if someone would be in for that.
Thank you
