Would using a boar bristle brush help with greasy roots?

I have shoulder length hair and while I have used bleach and dyes on it before, I cut all my bleached ends off in January and have since been letting it grow. A continuous issue I see is that my day 2 hair ends with the roots flat and greasy while my ends are frizzy and kinda poofy.

I recently heard about people using a boar bristle hairbrush because it's supposed to help distribute oils throughout your hair compared to a plastic brush. I'm curious what people's experience is with boar brushes because I'm hoping that with better oil distribution, I won't have to wash my hair every other day. Maybe extend hair washing to every two days.

My favorite part about being a women engineer is watching the guys get clearly kinda embarrassed/apologetic about the bathroom situation

I'm interning at this manufacturing building built in the late 1800s, and every tour I've gotten from a man they're always apologizing about that fact there's only one women's restroom. I think it's sweet but also pretty funny.
