My partner and I were managing our finances in a shared Excel file. It worked until it didn't — no charts, terrible on mobile, and a nightmare once we started splitting costs across two countries and two currencies.
So I built iXpenses: a mobile-first finance app designed for small households (couples, roommates, families). No sign-up, no subscription, no ads. Just open the link and start tracking.
What you get
- Unified transaction log — income, expenses, transfers, all in one place, filterable by person, category, and month
- Recurring bills — set up your monthly payments once; mark them as paid with one tap
- Debts & credits — track loans with a full payment history and progress bar
- Charts — monthly trend, category breakdown, and per-person spending
- Multi-profile — each person in the household has their own profile; transactions can be mine / yours / shared
- Multi-currency — native support, conversion at display time with editable rates
- Excel export — dump any view to
.xlsxin one click
What I'd love feedback on
- Does the concept make sense for your household setup?
- Anything confusing on first load?
- What's the one feature you'd want that's missing?
The app is free and fully functional. Cloud sync across devices is the next thing I'm building — right now data lives in your browser, so it's best used from one device.
