A couple of days in Surry Hills

I'm in Surry Hills for a couple of days and having a lovely time. Last night I caught the Australiano Hour special at Jane. I had the Australiano cocktail, one piece oyster, one piece tuna, the kangaroo tartare and the lamb dumplings. I also ordered dessert from the a la carte, melon sorbet with green ants and a macadamia liquor. Everything was excellent, I especially enjoyed the tuna with horseradish and kohlrabi, the lamb dumplings with saltbush and the melon sorbet with the green ants. With the Australiano Hour prices (5pm-6pm) it was ridiculously good value IMHO. Tonight I have a booking at Le Salle which I am looking forward to immensely.
