I was rewatching the series recently, and this just kept sticking out to me.

Jax is the only character in the entire show to directly reference these things, other than Zooble once, but even then it's in response to Jax referencing it, and he does it weirdly often. He:

Repeatedly targets Zooble's queerness:

• Joking about Zooble not being straight(episode 3)

• Joking about Zooble's jobs being stereotypical for Non-binary people, even though that wasn't a well known stereotype outside of queer circles when the show takes place(episode 5)

• Including Zooble in "the gals", and calling them a "damsel"(episode 7)

Makes weird comments about his masculinity/straightness:

• Asserts that his tail and ears (which are both, in later scenes, thematically associated with the false version of himself that he presents to the others) are the "pinnacle of masculinity"(episode 5)

• Jokes about the concept of Pomni being interested in him making them a "straight couple"(episode 6)

I wouldn't think too much of this if literally ANY other character brought up gender or sexuality ever, but they don't, and I'm wondering why that might be.

What do you guys think?
