My daughter is 18 and has been dealing with Hashimoto’s, she has gained a lot of weight and has a lot fatigue, food intolerances and all the normal symptoms. She is on synthroid and her thyroid levels stay pretty much normal but we are concerned with the weight gain and fatigue. She always did cheerleading and gymnastics, but after several concussions and the weight gain, she was unable to do that anymore. The doctors want to start her in metformin for weight loss. Does anyone have experience with using metformin with Hashimoto disease? Just wondering if this is the right move to put her on this thanks for any advice.
