EV charging expense guidance

Hi all,

Looking for advice on how to manage expenses for EV company car drivers as there are different advisery fuel rates for home and public charging.

Is it reasonable to ask employees to keep a charging log and apportion the AFR themselves?

Any ways to simplify this without tax implications?

E.g. someone does 100 business miles in a month, charging 80% at home, 20% at public chargers, so the AFR is apportioned 80/20.

Is anyone paying above the AFR for public fast charging?

This is a compliance minefield...

For those of you that have lived through it, would you rather be comfortable and spend lots of time with your children, or be wealthy and miss out on their childhood?

Do you have any regrets with your choice?

TLDR how to progress from FC to FD at 32?

Hi all, seeking some advice from FDs /CFOs please.

I have quite a traditional career path so far:

- Practice: audit and accounts (ACA) 4 years, top 20

- Management accountant 2 years

- Finance manager 4 years

- Financial controller 1.5 years

How do I make the jump to FD from here if I'm not getting board / strategy / M&A exposure? I feel like my CV is a bit weak if I am competing against people with 10-20 years more experience.

I have SME experience in audit, and currently work in a global $500M T/O business, plenty of P/E exposure.
