Consider switching from Armoury Crate to G-Helper on ASUS laptops
Armoury Crate is often required on ASUS laptops, but in daily use it can be heavy and runs multiple background services.
After testing an alternative called G-Helper, I noticed:
- Lower background resource usage
- Simpler control over performance modes
- Easier fan and power profile management
- No constant services running in the background
Before the switch, my CPU was regularly hitting 90°C+ while gaming. After moving to G-Helper and adjusting fan/performance settings, I observed a noticeable temperature reduction during similar gaming sessions.
It may not replace every Armoury Crate feature for everyone, but for gaming and thermal control, it can be a simpler setup.
If you try it, make sure to fully remove Armoury Crate and ASUS background services first, then reboot before installing G-Helper and after installation don't forget to disable cpu boost from settings.
