DeWalt Shop Vac Craps out after 5 hours of total use.

5 hours total. I only use it to suck up dust from sanding wood furniture. I am an amateur wood furniture refinisher. This shop vac was babied. 5 hours total, and it craps out on me. When I went to the Big Box Store where I bought, they basically told me, " Tough shit." The process with Dewalt to get my money back after the store sent me packing is intentionally laborious. I spend my hard-earned American dollars on this Made in China garbage. Now it has to sit and not rot in an overfilled landfill. They. Don't. Care. I am only a number. No urgency to make this right to keep a customer. Just too bad.

While I was in line at the customer service desk, the dude behind me said, "How long did that piece of crap last you?"

There you have it, folks.

Two words: Planned obsolescence.
