Urethral stricture ?and IC
Ive had IC since I was 14, for 7 years I was misdiagnosed and medically gaslighted. When I was 21 I had a cystoscopy done under sedation which confirmed IC and my care was transferred from urogyneacology to urology.
I also have vaginismus and vulvodynia (I genuinely hate my life).
Anyways since the end of Feb I started experiencing a very weak stream, I am peeing a lot less than I used too and my stream splits into three and also sprays to the back. It also dribbles whilst and after I pee.
I was transferred from urogyneacology to urology after my cystoscopy last year (idek why this was the case as I have a pelvic floor dysfunction), and my urologist cancelled my appointment like 4 times. I finally saw a different urologist last week and she rushed the entire appointment, did not even address my urethral stricture like symptoms and wrote down on the clinical letter that I said I experienced it as a side effect from gabapentin which is untrue.
My GP wrote to her aswell explaining my change of symptoms and she did not address it.
I have emailed the urogyneacology consultant secretary multiple times , and the secretary said shes not sure why she’s not viewed it or replied (it’s been two months).
Sometimes I literally cannot pee, and I’m pushing to pee and moving into different positions so the urine will come out.
Never in the now 8 years I’ve had IC have I ever had these symptoms.
This is literally making me su7c8dal , no one is listening to me my GP has done so much to help my urinary symptoms but urogynea and urology do not seem to care.
I did complain about urology to the complaints team but I doubt anything is going to happen.
I’m so sick and tired of my symptoms, I am worried I will wake up one day and just not pee.
I’m working part time, I go to university and I also am doing placements as part of my course these symptoms are getting in the way of my life and I’m having to take days off work/ uni because I am so scared of these symptoms . I also sleep with a hot water bottle between my legs
If anyone has had a urethral stricture can you please advise ?
