I was trying to explain this to my friend, but I can't seem to explain it well.

Just to make sure I'm getting this right, lets start from the top with the example at hand:

Lets say [[Morophon, the Boundless]] and [[Fist of Suns]] are out on the board. This lets you cast the chosen creature type for free. Morophon has just entered the battlefield and priority passed as usual, no responses from the board. Now my friend put a cast trigger on the stack to play a creature from their hand. When priority is passed again, someone else targets Morophon with an instant speed removal spell. My friend tried to say that before that removal spell resolves they could play the rest of the creatures from their hand.
