I have the 2022 toyota camry hybrid and am currently in a state where regular gas is unleaded 85, instead of 87 like most of the country. I read the owners manual and it only endorses 87. My understanding is that modern engines are so optimized the instability that comes from 85 gas could cause damage. However, that risk dramatically decreases in higher altitudes. Does anyone drive 85 here or have any experience, specifically for hybrid models, especially the 2022?
I'm not talking about that E85 crap.
