Had chance to wash the car after work today.

For those of you with the subject car/trim, what combined mpg are you getting? I can’t seem to get past about 42 mpg consistently—and I’ve got 20k mi on my car now.

I’m typically doing highway speeds (70mph) about 2-3hrs everyday and drafting as much as possible.

Could it be the dealer used a thicker grade oil during my oil changes?

2026 Camry LE. Had it for 20 days.

When driving at night, in low beam, I noticed some dark spots in the headlights on the driver's side. When I bring it near my garage door I see the following. It is not there on the passenger side.

Any idea what the issue might be?

Sunshade - why does every other manufacturer have the design task understood (a shade that slides out fully for full protection) while Toyota gives you this thin sliver of plastic? Did their brain turn off?

Auto-locking doors - since 2014 (or even earlier?) most manufacturers that have Fob keys allowing you to walk away and have the car auto-lock. But Toyota just decided, you know what, no - that’s a safety issue? Or in what world was it decided that that was how they would be “special”? Make it make sense!!

Auto-unlocking doors - when you use the key fob to lock the door by pressing the lock button, tell me why > 75% of the time, about 5-10m later my app tells me “multiple doors unlocked on your Camry”? Do they want the car to be stolen? There is no safety feature that makes sense for this to occur…why?!? (And no, there is nothing left in or near the car that should cause this, nor are any of the doors ajar or similar…)

I had Toyota for years, then around 2012 went to Hyundai and then Honda up until my most recent switch back to Toyota… regretting the decision as of now… someone help me find the understanding so I can once again love Toyota…

Working on a 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid (2.5L 2AR-FXE). I'm replacing the engine electric water pump for code P261B. New pump is AISIN WPT-191 (Toyota 161A0-39025).

The problem: an orange high-voltage cable runs right in front of one of the 5 pump bolts. I can't get a socket or wrench on that bolt without moving the cable.

The cable is held by a fastener with a star pattern positioned at the center of the housing. It's the only fastener like it I can see, and there's no release tab or button that I can find. Photos attached ( first two are from the top view, third is from the bottom, and the fourth is from straight on

Where I'm at:
• Car is fully off, not in Ready
• Disconnected the 12V negative
• Not touching any orange connectors at the inverter

Questions:
1. How does this fastener come off? Does it need a specific tool?
2. Is car off plus 12V disconnected enough to move this cable, or do I need to pull the service plug first?
3. Has anyone done this pump on a 2012 to 2017 Camry Hybrid? Did you remove this fastener or work around it?
4. Buddy of mine said just cut the zip tie and then re-tie it once it’s done with a new one?

New to this whole mechanic thing so would appreciate any advice. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I recently broke the glass on my side view mirror on the passenger side. I ordered a new one and hooked it up but now it’s saying “Blind Spot Monitor Malfunction” and “Rear Cross Traffic Alert Malfunction.”

Despite the mirror being broken, neither of these warnings appeared until after I replaced it. Here are photos of the internals of the mirror and the link to the exact one I bought. I’m stumped. I’ve tried attaching the metal posts to either one. It also came with this metal piece I don’t know what it’s for. The photos of the mirror connected to the car is the replacement mirror.

2008 Camry, water pump has been making a noise for a while. Other day heard a noise and the started to over heat, then the belt also broke. Would I need a new water pump or is it just loose?

Love my 2025 Camry except minor rattles and a radio issue. However have had a cpl issues with service on my invoice from dealer not seeming done. Last straw was an oil chnage along with AC repair. Picked car up and started driving home and was making sure air was working and didn't notice maintenance due on dash right away. Initially thought they just forgot to reset then noticed still had my old sticker. Went back to dealer and they assured me it was done and last step is reset and new sticker. New sticker and reset and on my way but didn't sit well with me. Spoke with service manager the next day and he promised the world and never followed up. Always assured oil was changed. I have oil changed every 10000 and dealer and every 5000 at local shop. Next oil change asked for the old filter and was not a Toyota one. Looks like im correct in they didnt do what was asked. Just to verify went to parts to make sure they used toyota oil filters and bought one to verify. Dealer has did nothing to make it right. If your in west michigan watch your dealers

After weeks of comparing dealers, trims, prices, financing, and a few cars I decided against, I finally brought home my 2026 Camry SE AWD Hybrid.

To be added : Blackout Emblems, Illuminated Doorsill,
Mudguards, Rear Bumper Appliqué, wheel locks, paint protection. May have an appointment at the dealer next week for it all (minus wheel locks).

This car is a monster. Man the excitement to just want to keep driving but having to park and go inside work is insane. The premium plus package, can’t find a single thing I don’t like. I turned off auto deceleration as I never owned a car that had anything fancy like that, and I consider myself pretty vigilant while driving.

Anything else I should be on the lookout for? Context I live in NY which is pretty strict on tints, so even though I want, I don’t know anything about having them.

I’ve wanted a Camry for as long as I can remember and now I’ve finally been able to make the leap! I look forward to everything I have to learn about her and have enjoyed her this past week after upgrading from my Maxima.
