I'm in the check socket phase of a new BK build. I've been walking on it for about two weeks. This leg has a hydraulic foot and ankle, which I've never had before.

Apparently, I lean into my prosthetic leg all the time. Like... I LEAN on it, over it, into it. I noticed it first when I was brushing my teeth. I leaned to toss my toothbrush back in the cup, and when I took that first full step away from the sink, the foot hadn't yet returned to neutral position. It felt for a moment like I had no front half of my foot. I teetered (not a total stumble, but an obvious wiggle wobble). I could "feel" the foot relaxing, like low rider suspension.

I now realize it's behaving this way many times per day. Not every action results in my being ahead of the foot returning to its ready position, but many, many things I'm doing apparently cause me to lean. Which causes the foot to not be ready. Which causes me to hiccup through the first step after I straighten up and go.

Walking on this foot feels amazing. The pain in my lower back, R hip, and R knee is almost gone. I'm gliding completely through the foot and heel-toe'ing so smoothly on both sides!

But this "Oops, I'm not ready... OK! Now try" lag in the foot is... I don't want to whine and carry on about it. It's not that big of a deal. It's not painful. I'm walking. I can put up with a lot of bs, and adapt to even more.

It's just... it's weird.

Any advice?

UPDATE: Sat down with my coffee this morning (18 hours later), and the Your Apps bar is back to exactly how I had it set before all this. I didn't do anything other than the reset-resync (suggested below, didn't appear to work at the time) and 2 or 3 reboots late yesterday afternoon/evening.

My FireTV must have updated overnight. As of today, I can't put YouTube or YouTubeTV on the Your Apps and Channels bar. They don't appear in the list there at all. If I scroll way down to this Recently Used list, they're both there, but long-press does not give the option to place them on the Your Apps.

There are a couple other apps left off the Your Apps. Plex is among them. Looks like Paramount+ and TUBI, as well. I have a feeling there are more; this Your Apps list looks... dated and populated with things we rarely - if ever - use.

What the heck? Why do you hate me, Amazon?!

Anyone have suggestions? Some setting I'm not seeing?

I'd never seen the Sakinorva Cognitive Function test. Someone mentioned it in another thread, so I tested myself with the 256-question version.

I feel like I should laugh but also maybe cry at that one.

What? I'm lost. How do I come back INFJ, but my functions are... that mess?

I've used the contact form to email BreakingCodeSilence five or six times in the last four years. I want to add the CEDU-based school I attended to their heat map of abusive TTI's, but, although the TBS I attended was run by Americans and based on American programs, it was not in America. Their map only features America.

I also wanted to send my survivor testimony. Again, though, the reporting map gives the impression that they are only considering American-based locations. But I wasn't sure. So I asked.

My mother has an S8+ tab. She keeps misplacing the S Pen; she actually lost two, as well. Ouch.

I turned on proximity notification for her, but it's not enough. I thought there was an alarm you could set to play a sound if the tablet got too far from its pen. Can't find it anywhere in the settings.

I registered for an account and have been waiting for staff approval for a year. I check periodically, and the list of recently logged in members always includes at least one staff, but...

I'm still not approved after waiting a literal year.

I can't post or DM anyone over there because my membership is pending. So, I thought I'd ask here, since it was here that I learned about the forum in the first place. Is there something going on with the 2 Peas Refugees forum? Is it dying? Is it time for me to give up checking on my account there?
