So, I’m doing a rewatch and I’m on season six where Amanda does not want to sign a prenup while Lover boy is on the upswing, seems profitable. She says “If we divorce you better believe I’m not walking away with nothing.” Fast forward four years the company is on the brink of bankruptcy. He is personally indemnified four for $4 million worth of loans and suddenly she doesn’t want any of it because it’s “his baby”.
My thought is, would she be so “generous” if the business was still thriving and profitable? I think we all know the answer to that. I just think that the prenup should go both ways. If she had signed a prenup, then the debt of the company would not be her responsibility, just like if she had signed it she wouldn’t get anything unless she negotiated it into the contract. Just another aspect of Amanda never really having calls back and always having only her best interest in mind.
