Could be something you believed before Nikah but changed your mind about after getting married.

Not talking about obvious dealbreakers.

I'm talking about the small things that don't seem like a big issue at first, but later turn into serious problems.

It could be something you experienced yourself, something you saw happen to someone else, or simply advice you'd give to others.

Let's keep it respectful and helpful so others can learn from different experiences.

This isn't aimed at men or women.

It just feels like dating apps and social media have made everyone think there's always someone better one swipe away.

Instead of asking "Can we build a good marriage together?", it sometimes feels like people keep asking "Can I do even better?"

Do you think this mindset has made marriage more difficult today, or am I completely wrong?

I'm not married yet, but I've been reading a lot of posts here and talking to married friends recently. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of advice people laugh at before marriage somehow ends up making sense later. Stuff like "don't keep score", "learn to apologize first", "communication matters more than romance", etc.

So I'm curious...

If you're married, what's one piece of advice you thought was nonsense before your Nikah but later realized was actually true?

I'd honestly love to hear real experiences instead of Instagram quotes.
