despair….
As some of you know, I received my package yesterday after a long 13-hour wait; I was finally able to put the headset on and play... for an hour and a half. The face foam is a total nightmare, and the Pimax software isn't much better... For starters, the FOV is really small for a headset at this price point... Light leaks in through the face foam, and it also prevents me from getting my eyes close enough to the lenses to get a better field of view... I have to tighten the straps so much that I couldn't play for more than 90 minutes—my forehead was hurting... I could see my computer screen on the left and the distant kitchen light on the right, even though it was nighttime... So, here is the temporary solution I came up with. The face foam on my HTC Vive Pro 2—despite the headset's weight—never caused me such intense facial discomfort... Yes, it looks ridiculous... lol... but I’ll have to make do with this until the "Studioform" one arrives... As it stands, I can't enjoy the headset at all, so I found this stopgap measure just to enjoy the magnificent visuals I saw for that hour and a half last night... I didn't actually play; I just tested it, but it was too painful and uncomfortable to continue. So, I ended up watching YouTube... Anyway, that's my desperate solution... Thanks, Pimax—thanks for delivering a headset I paid over $2,300 for, equipped with face foam and a strap that look like they came from AliExpress... 🙄
