Never eating at Taco Bell again…

My friend(23) and I(22) went to Taco Bell and got 3 Doritos locos tacos, a burrito, the new cinnamon churro things, and a drink, but we didn’t check the order other than making sure everything was there. When we got back to the house and starting eating I found a black hair in the meat of my taco and was *obviously* grossed out. My friend and I are both blonde for reference. My friend and I took photos of the hair to post on Snapchat as one does, and we were just going to let it go other than ridiculing them on our stories. After finding the hair, I was grossed out and threw my other tacos away. My friend continued to eat another few bites of her burrito, and then found a short curly black hair in the meat of her burrito(we didn’t get photo of this because she put the hair on the wrapper, went to spit the food in her mouth out, and it fell off and we couldn’t find it after). She obviously threw her burrito away too after this, and I decided to call the Taco Bell we went to and see if we could get a refund. The manager answered, I told her what happened, and she said “hmm…that’s interesting.” She then offered to replace them, but we were not going to eat anything else that came out of that place, so asked for a refund and she said we would have to go back to the store to get one(turned out this wasn’t true, she could’ve issued the refund over the phone). I offered to bring my taco back in to show them the hair since she clearly didn’t think I was telling the truth by the way she responded to what I told her and by her general tone, but she said it wasn’t necessary. We go back to the place and she doesn’t need my card or anything, she just pushed some buttons and issues the refund(pissed me off more because I drove 30 minutes there and back and spent money on gas when it wasn’t necessary). I proceed to say “we aren’t mad at anyone here, but I think you might have a talk with your employees because one hair is questionable, but finding two hairs in our food is just unhygienic.” She then says, “Well, we wear hairnets and gloves. I wasn’t there, so I can’t say it did or didn’t happen, but you got your refund, so have a nice night.” This was in a painfully sarcastic tone btw. I didn’t respond, because at that point I was just insanely pissed off so I left instead.

Id like to say that I do not frequent the fast food places near me, and I’m sure people do pretend to find hair in their food to get free stuff, but I have never done anything of the sort. I am also not someone who looks like a scammer(hope that doesn’t come off wrong, but I’ve worked food service and know the type), nor did I want to drive 30 minutes out of the way to get a $20 refund. I just think the way I was treated is insane and I refuse to go back and eat at any Taco Bell’s now. I understand the employees are underpaid and everything, but at least have some basic respect for customers.
