Hi guys, I’ve had my orange male cat (2yrs old) for quite a while now, but he constantly plays with his water fountain, splashing huge amounts of water out, dipping his paws in, and I was wondering if there is any sort of reasoning behind this?

I play with him everyday but randomly ill come home to a huge puddle of water on the floor, I have clipped the water fountain closed, even tape it to the ground but he still spills water with his paws
