I got the job!

I’ve been a CPC-A since 2024 finally secured my first coding specialist role! 100% remote, flexible M-F schedule! I’m thrilled. It’s been 9 months of unemployment and over 800 applications. I did it! Bring it on!

700 applications and 7 months later I'm still jobless... Looking for anything remote, hybrid, in office. Goal is medical billing and coding but also applied to insurance verification specialist, prior authorization, secretary jobs. Can't land anything. What am I doing wrong? Just started using Flex Jobs and Simplify to help me fill out job applications faster. Have been utilizing recruiters, networking, job fairs, the whole nine yards. My last job ended with my whole team being laid off due to the client contract suddenly ending. I appreciate any feedback on my resume or potential opportunities. Thank you!

Edit: I would like to note to those thinking I’m just funneling all my applications to medical coding. I’m not. I’m applying broadly. And to the person who said I’ve averaged 3 applications a day get a life lol I’ve been practically living on indeed and linked in. Also would like to note that I see CPC-As get coding jobs as evidenced on linked in.

Acute Care?

Hello there. I am a PTA who is in a bit of a weird time in my career. I have been licensed for 10 years. I have mostly done outpatient with the exception of a bad experience in a SNF (minimal training, kind of left in the dark). I have been trying to change my career to medical coding but have been having so much trouble getting a job. I had an interview today for a full time acute care position at a local hospital. I am sort of interested but am very nervous and apprehensive because I’ve never worked in that setting before or with that population. Things I didn’t enjoy about outpatient was productivity expectations, high level functional training, sports, the amount of documentation and sometimes super complex cases that seemed way over my head. I was definitely feeling burnt out in a short time. I am trying to get a feel of what acute care would be like. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Job question

Would it be appropriate for me to post my resume here to get some insight as to why I am not landing any job interviews or offers? I have placed over 500 applications and look for both remote and in office options. Thank you kindly.
