Infection or just reaction to trauma?

Pictures are in reverse and are as follows:
1- Currently (10:30 am Saturday)

3- Just before stitches (8pm friday)
4- Immediately after injury (11:30pm/midnight Thursday)
Thursday @ 11:30pm/midnight injury occurred
Friday @ 10am visited GP and advised to go straight to A&E for stitches
Friday @ 12pm arrived at A&E
Friday @ 8pm received 15 stitches and wash out under local anaesthetic via theatre nurse in A&E
Saturday @ 10am woke up with throbbing pain, swelling, some warmth and redness going towards my knuckles
Is this infected? Or is it just a reaction to the trauma of 15 stitches? The redness and pain concerns me but it has been over 2 years since I last had stitches so I am unsure on what is a normal reaction to 15 of them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, TIA!
