I’m a civil engineer looking for a new role, ideally focused on existing buildings, structural assessments, and forensic investigations. I’m seeing some opportunities on Indeed and LinkedIn, but I’d prefer to avoid going back to a large firm like Jacobs. I do enjoy consulting, so I’d like to stay in that space if possible.

I realize the job market may be a bit slow right now, which could be part of why I’m not seeing many openings.

What avenues have you found the most effective to find roles? Are there specific job boards, professional organizations, or companies that tend to post these kinds of positions?

I’d appreciate any advice on where to look or strategies that have worked for you.
