My boyfriend and I recently started long distance (it’s been about 3 weeks), and we’ll be doing long distance for around a year.
He barely uses Snapchat. The only time he opens it is to video call me and play with the filters. He almost never checks messages or adds people.
I happen to have access to his Snapchat account, and today I noticed that a random new female account sent him a friend request. I accepted it out of curiosity.
The account looked suspicious:
Snap score was only 1
The account sent him three messages saying “hi”
Then sent a 30-second voice note
In the voice note, the audio was unclear, but it sounded like a very young girl’s voice (maybe mid-teens). The only part I could make out was something like, “Please send me… please, please…”
I replied from his account and said: “Hi, the voice note wasn’t clear. Can you text instead?”
I haven’t confronted my boyfriend because I’m not sure if this is:
A scam or fake account
Someone who knows him
A wrong add
Something suspicious
Has anyone experienced something like this on Snapchat? What does this sound like to you?
