Hantavirus is a broad term referring to rodent spread viruses. This often comes from rodent feces or spit. ANDV, the virus in question here, has the ABILITY to spread through humans. It requires prolonged and close up contact, such as on an isolated cruise for a long period of time, to even run the risk of exposure. It is NOTHING like covid in terms of spread risk.
In addition to this, a vaccine candidate exists. Publicly no, but there are already long series of research into it with a candidate vaccine in existence. This vaccine hasn’t been pushed for FDA approval likely out of a lack of public necessity, but it IS there. Whats worst of all is that the news is now claiming there IS NO VACCINE. There is a functioning candidate in existence.
Now the reason I point this out is because for whatever reason, which I will leave up to the reader, the news WANTS you to focus on hantavirus. They want you to pay attention to it, whether they want you to theorize about it and focus your attention is up for you to imagine.
