Why clang and libcxx recieve so little contribution from the companies

Progress there is so incredibly slow, they don't even have full C++23 coverage at trunk and we are at the end 2026, so that's what? a 4 year old gap. Don't companies want better qol?

Gemini went nuts

It completely ignores my prompts, and doesn't read any documents I sent. Wish I hadn't bought it, canceled it immediately.

This wasn't the case a month ago, Whatever genius who updated it clearly deserves a raise.

The problem with targeting Linux

Linux unlike MacOS and Windows doesn't have a standardised SDK. This forces devs to either natively compile there or create SDK/sysroot ourselves.

This creates some issues, firstly everyone targets different sets of packages for shared linking, this causes glibc version mismatches and similar issues.

In the end, why are we dealing with this, why can't Debian and Ubuntu Devs just collaborate to release a tarball for arm64 and x64 desktop. We could just download it and set the flags and everything works.

But currently we have to create a sysroot via docker, weird system packages with Debian etc. None of them are really ideal.

The rest of the Devs who target mini-pc's or try to run Linux on milkv-duos can build their own sysroot from scratch, while we can just move to actual work.

Cold Approaching, myths and experiences

You won't be labeled a creep or rejected harshly by girls for approaching them, because they like the attention.

Most guys don't approach because they don’t succeed often, not because they care about girls feelings or they are considerate of everything.

Approaching strangers constantly is not a fun activity, but is actually demeaning.

If you are capable of success through cold approaching, you can just use apps.

----

Average guy's only option is to rely on friend groups and be a loser, because that is his only option to get laid, no one respects someone they know can't leave. What a sad state of affairs.
