passed with a 25

AHHHH, I'm a RDN!!!!!

As the title says, I ended up passing on my second attempt at a 25. My first attempt I made a 20 and was heartbroken but through a lot of studying and prayers, I was finally able to get over that hump.

~Resources I used
Inman 2022-2026: absolutely loved Inman as just a dump of all knowledge.
AAD: i liked the management part of the book but this program I felt like didn’t really help me. I kept trying to learn their method of studying rather than actual soaking in information.
Visual Veggies: I truly believe this is what helped me solidify and get to that passing point. I mean 5 whole points in less than 45 days in crazy to me, and visual veggies helped with that so much.
Pocket Prep: I finally was hitting the 70% and above mark the week before today and that helped my confidence so much.

~Experience

I kept telling myself that there was no way around this and I can do hard things. I was also prescibed a beta blocker and that helped so much, so if you can get your hands on one, I highly suggest that. I wasn't scared this time, I was upset that I was having to take it again but it only fueled my excitement. I had a family member drive me to my appointment and we just spent that morning keeping my mind busy and shopping. I took my medication about 45 mins before I walked into the testing site, so I was good and focused. The test itself had no tube feed calculations and only 3-4 financial math questions. There were some questions that I stared at and said "Well it woudl be nice if YOU could tell me the answer". This test is honestly so stupid, but we are wayyyy smarter than it. Every 10 questions I would take one minute to box breath and pray for clarity and knowledge. I had about 80-60mins left on my timer. I TOOK ALL 145 QUESTIONS, however, thats how my mock exams on visual veggies were also doing so I didn't freak out, I was prepared.

To anyone reading this, whether you are a first time or repeat test taker, you have my respect. Please have the utmost confidence in yourself, and do not be afraid to ask for accomadations, medication, or a tutor. This exam is just a tiny blip in your path and I can't wait to work along side you (even if we are in different time zones!!) If I can do it, everyone here surely can pass this exam!!!

retake in one week

Hi all, I am back again to take my test in one week, next Monday. I made a 20 on my first attempt when the test shut off at 125. I have been doing PP again (mock exam one at 63%) and visual veggies final week exams (#1 at 23 and #2 at 24.9😵‍💫) but that’s all the mock exams I have done so far. I plan on doing morning review sessions of my weaknesses through Inman and my AAD book then doing mock exams at night and just repeating until Sunday, since I WILL NOT be studying that day. I can’t tell if I am ready though. I understand I am cutting it close and this test is very much luck based but I have my tube feeding calculations down and am getting a better understanding of medications but there’s so much more I need to know before next week and it’s freaking me out. I am going to be taking a beta blocker this time and it has been a life saver so hoping that will help me from freaking out and being done with the test in 50 mins like last time. I am weirdly excited to take it again no matter the outcome, because I believe I will either make a 24 or I will pass this time, but only the Lord knows. Any advice for a second attempt? Also any advice for the situational questions on the exam, those were the ones that messed me up the most I can guarantee it. Thank you all!!

exam fail

Just failed my exam today with a 20. I don’t know what happened. It shut off at 125 questions and i got so happy. i cried in the parking lot by my car cause ai was so devastated. How do you come back from this? I studied for 6 weeks with inman, all access, and pocket prep. my highest pocket prep was 72% on tuesday so i felt decent going into my exam this morning. I have a job already lined up so seeing i didn’t pass is heartbreaking to me.

exam ready?

hey all, i take my exam in 11 days 😭 and i am unsure of how I feel about it. I am currently using inman, all access, and pocket prep. i’ve worked through all of all access as well as the worksheets and the provided slide shows in the community, i feel this has been a great resources to help me expound on things. i have also been using jean inman as my “final study resource” and for the practice questions. i do pocket prep everyday, either until i “level up” the domain or make a 70% or above in the “level up” section. I’ve taken 2 of the mock exams on pocket prep: #1 at a 40% just to see a baseline and the second one at a 54%. i plan on taking the last one on Monday. i feel like i am doing SIGNIFICANTLY worse answering jean inman question than I am with pocket prep, but then i see everyone on this subreddit saying that the pocket prep scores are in the 70-80%, and its making me feel so discouraged. i am confident that i will pass next thursday, however that creeping doubt is still there, especially when i am answering questions and getting them wrong☹️ i will update yall next thrusday tho. any advice is welcome as well

which resources?

hi all! i plan on taking my cdr sometime this summer, however, I am overwhelmed with how to study and what resources I should use. my school gave us access to inman and pocket prep and I have two quiz workbooks off of amazon my mother bought me. I don’t want to spend all the money in the world on programs like ERP or all access because I don’t think I will learn well from their style (recorded video leasons, study groups). can you all give me like a mock study plan or what has worked for you in the past or resources that you swear by? thanks, because i have no idea where to start when it comes to studying for this exam. i plan on studying 5-6 days a week maybe 2-5 hours a day. i don’t work yet so that is not an issue. i have access to my schools library to study at as well. i am willing to pay any amount of money so i can pass first try but not if the resources aren’t going to work for me!
