Rental Car Situation is Dangerous
I fly weekly and have come into LAX often, however, my travel has mainly been east coast the latter part of the year. I just flew into LAX and rented a car for the first time since probably last July, to say that it was harrowing would be an understatement. There were hundreds of people on the curbs waiting, fighting one another for minimal busses. After standing back and watching several people almost be killed in terminal traffic, I realized that the Sixt busses had no one in them and they all go to the same place. I got on the Sixt bus and others got savvy to my hack and followed me. You would have thought the driver was interviewing refugees the way she was not letting others on behind me. If you were to wait there, on a night like last night, it's not unreasonable that it could take you hours to get on a bus. People were trampling each other, pushing each other into the lanes of traffic by trying to access the busses. When I did finally arrive at the rental car center, I was in shock as there were hundreds of people left behind at the terminal. It felt like some dystopian episode of a post-apocalpytic movie where people were clamoring to get out. I will fly into Burbank next time.
