Is towing a 2 horse trailer (approx 6-7000 lbs fully loaded) realistic with an EV truck? Or should I stick with gasoline.
I will soon be in the market for a new vehicle. I really want to get something that I can use as my daily driver for work (my commute is long - approx 42 miles) and also to trailer my horses on a one a week/every other week basis (trails are all around 50 miles away).
I don’t want a gas truck due to bad gas mileage and how long my daily commute is. That’s why an EV truck is so appealing. My trailer seems within the tow capacity of the Sierra EV. But there isn’t too much info online about towing horse trailers with EVs, and a lot of people talk about how the range while towing is awful.
Is it really THAT bad? Is it bad enough that I couldn’t safely do around 100 miles round trip towing the trailer without having to charge?
