On Meat 22, when John finds Meenah in the void, She grabbing on to a "server beacon", and later in that scene, jumps into the server with the ring of life. What is this "server"?

Im playing on an Ayn thor, and it crashes on both graphics API, OpenGLes and Vulkan.

Vulkan sometimes lets me get to the menu in-game before crashing, but OpenGles crashes when loading the game. It wasnt happening before today, and it sucks because i got really far in the game. Any help?
