Ndodana Tshuma arrested here in Jhb

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve heard both sides on the argument on whether March and March with their illegal immigration protest are just.

There are some aspects that I think are disturbing and against our ubuntu, with a lot of Afrophobia and xenophobia

But thinking that South Africa doesn’t have an illegal immigration problem is delusional. And it’s not just about service delivery, employment etc but can you imagine how many international criminals and fugitives are roaming our streets? How many are comfortable to come hide in our country? Driving cars with fake registrations? Living in hijacked buildings? With a lot of them not accounted for or documented? How does that not keep you up awake at night?

Yes, the protest on illegal immigration has been painful to watch, but Jesus, we have an immigration problem and voicing this concern is absolutely necessary!

Edit: For those who argue he was in the country legally, yes, he landed in SA and then went to Zimbabwe, but decided to come back to SA to hide out.

There is evidence of him entering the country from Dubai via flight, but zero evidence of him entering the country from Zimbabwe

Im supportive of legal foreigners coming into our country and uplifting the economy, the argument is we do have an immigration problem and this incident whereby a fugitive can come and go as they please is an example. Our borders aren’t secure enough!

I honestly can’t believe how many comments are saying it’s okay that this murderer was in the country because he was here “legally”. Zero concern that he had the confidence to come hide here instead of Zim. For god sakes, Zim doesn’t even have an extradition treaty with the UK but he still chose to hide in SA. Why? These are the questions we should be asking ourselves? Is it the corruption? Boarder control? The ability to bribe your way?

Recommendation for plumbers

Hi everyone

I’m having issues with my shower whereby it doesn’t drain for the first couple of minutes. I’ve tried all sorts of do it yourself and will need a plumber.

Any recommendations on plumbers around CBD that specialise in drains drainage being slow? Specifically for apartment blocks

Affordable recommendations will really be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi! I’m looking to hire a carpenter for building a kitchen sink cupboard. Any recommendations for someone trustworthy and reasonably priced? Also is it possible to go to like a Builders or Makro to get one? Cheaper if I give them the build details?

Happy to share more details. Thanks!
