ATLA Season 2 euphoria vs Season 3 depression

Season 2 post-Toph really feels like the golden age of the show, when I think of the show that's the era my mind goes to. Season 3 makes me kind of sad, because it feels like all of the characters timeskipped into older versions of themselves that are prioritize wrapping up their stories and there is no time to relax and smell the roses like with season 2. Season 2 was about the journey and season 3 is about the destination and while S3 is certainly better in thematics and animation it lacks that magical moment that season 2 had. Season 3 feels like when a series has reached its peak form, and has a major movie come out that is both a cherry on top and a toast to the characters as they were up to this point, but you can't escape the thought that it's the beginning of the end. Season 3 feels like the grind of exam finals leading straight into your graduation ceremony, where you look back fondly over the years leading up to it but never that moment itself. Season 3 is the final stretch and I wish we could have had another season 2, or broke season 3 into two seasons.
