R on T! Please help

As someone who experiences 4–5 extra beats per minute, I just read something about "R-on-T" and am now sitting here crying in despair. Apparently, R-on-T is considered insignificant in people without Long QT syndrome, yet it can trigger VF and VT when the heart rate rises and the QT interval shortens. To be honest, a Holter monitor test three months ago did catch one instance, but I didn't pay it any mind because I was rarely experiencing PVCs back then. But now... I’m certain I’m having countless R-on-T events. Please help!

My last question. Please read this too.

  • I’ve been posting here a lot lately, but I’d like to ask one last question. If you look at my previous posts, you’ll see I’ve been dealing with a severe flare-up that started 18 days ago. Some days I’m better, and other days I feel terrible, but the symptoms never stop. For the past few days, I haven’t felt anything while lying down—thankfully, I’m able to sleep—but the moment I stand up, the PVCs start up terribly. My pulse can also become irregular when I’m upright; they happen frequently when I’m standing still or moving around. Is this a circulation issue, or is something putting pressure on my heart when I stand? Have any of you experienced this? Is there anyone who can explain it?

Please read! Emergency call for help

Okay. For the past 15 days, a severe PVC attack has been going on and it has turned me into a silent and hopeless man. Let me tell you what I experienced before this attack. Before, I had PVCs only very rarely — at most 2 a day. In March I joined the army for compulsory military service. The first few days there was no problem at all. Then one night we woke up because of an earthquake and when I got up I felt palpitations (not PVCs). I didn’t pay much attention, but the palpitations continued for several days and that scared me. So I went to the army infirmary and requested a cardiology appointment. We went and the doctor ordered all the tests and said there was nothing wrong, only that my heart rate was high, and prescribed Dideral. The medication brought my heart rate back to normal and I really felt good. Then my duty station changed and I was sent to a place at 2700 meters altitude that was very cold. As soon as I arrived I got a very severe febrile illness. I couldn’t recover for 15 days and this made the commander hate me and treat me badly. I went through very stressful times. Even 2 months ago he tried to give me a military service extension punishment and that put me under incredible stress. After that incident I bent down and had an SVT-like attack. To confirm it I bent down again and it happened again. Since I came here, Dideral only worked for 2–3 hours and after that the palpitations returned. 50 days ago we went to cardiology again; after all the tests they said my heart was in perfect condition and even had me stop the medication. Indeed, after stopping the drug I felt good for 10 days. But then that bastard of a commander and I argued again and the stress started once more. Anyway, 15 days ago I woke up from sleep and ate. There was no problem and I wasn’t stressed. Then I ate an ice cream and while standing, sudden consecutive PVCs started. They’re still continuing — sometimes I don’t feel any for an hour and sometimes 3–4 per minute!! And right before the attack started my heart was beating strongly and regularly. But immediately after the attack began, it feels like my heart has been damaged somehow — during the normal beats it feels weak and feeble. Especially in the mornings when I wake up, the first half hour is terrible: weak, fast, irregular pulse and PVCs… That’s what scares me the most! I have no idea what happened or what changed in just a few seconds. Was it the ice cream I ate that day that triggered it, or has the extreme stress lasting for 5 months destroyed my nervous system and taken my heart out of control? I have no idea. I don’t think my electrolytes are low because I eat well and I never sweat, and I don’t consume any caffeine either. I’ve been bothering you a lot lately but I really need some comforting words. I don’t think I’ll ever get better. I think this has become chronic, or that I’m going to collapse to the ground all of a sudden… There’s no fear anymore, only hopelessness and extreme sadness. I would rather lose a leg than live with this… I really don’t know…

I think I've reached the end of the road!

Have you ever felt that your heart wasn't beating as strongly as usual during "normal beats" while experiencing a flare-up? I’m currently in a flare-up period that started 13 days ago. Sometimes I get five of them an hour, and other times, five a minute. Before this flare-up, I’d feel at most two a day, and my heart beat strongly and steadily. However, since this flare-up began, my heart feels like it’s beating weakly and feebly during normal beats. Even when walking up a slight incline, my pulse skyrockets, and it takes a long time to slow down even after I stop; I have to sit and rest for it to settle. Guys, you might think I’m 60, but I’m only 22. All my tests came back normal just two months ago. I’m terrified that my heart might have sustained damage. Is there anyone here who has gone through this and can reassure me that my heart hasn't been damaged?

Take a look here. Recommended.

Hello. As someone who has had VSS for three years, I’d like to offer some advice to those just starting out. Guys, once you have this, it stays with you for life—but rest assured, you will get used to it and learn to live with it over time. My advice is not to let yourself get overwhelmed by anxiety like I did. If a doctor has examined your brain and confirmed there is nothing to fear, please treat your anxiety and learn to live with the condition. I couldn't overcome my anxiety, and I ended up developing a heart condition. I find myself wishing I had simply gone mad from VSS every day instead of suffering this heart ailment. Please, don't let the anxiety take over.

Is this a punishment inflicted by God? There is no logical explanation for

Hello. I am a 22-year-old male. Before November 2023, I had a wonderful life and good health; I was a very fun-loving and active person. On November 3, 2023, I developed Visual Snow Syndrome, a very rare condition. I suffered from incredible panic attacks. Even though there was nothing wrong with my brain, I convinced myself I had a hundred different illnesses. After a few months, I accepted the condition and learned to live with it. On November 1, 2024, following a prolonged infection, my lung collapsed. I would describe it as the worst physical pain imaginable; this, too, is a rare occurrence. In March 2025, I began experiencing severe sleep problems. I couldn't sleep due to negative thoughts and stress. I overcame that after three months, and the months of July, August, and September went wonderfully. Despite suffering from DP/DR (depersonalization/derealization), I fell in love with a girl and felt amazing. Then came September 29, 2025... I went to bed that night and experienced extrasystoles—something I had felt many times before but never paid much attention to. This time was different, though, because I felt two of them in quick succession. It has now become a major problem and a source of stress for me. Previously, I would feel them at most three times a day, or sometimes not at all. Since that day, I’ve had three ECGs, an echocardiogram, and a Holter monitor test; the doctor said my heart is in excellent condition and there are no issues. However, eleven days ago, they suddenly increased dramatically. While I used to feel them three times a day at most, I now feel 600 to 700 of them daily. Sometimes they happen three or four times a minute, and I am certain the ones I don't feel far exceed that number. They happen constantly now—whether I am sitting, standing, or moving. It’s worse when I’m standing. I almost wish the pain from when my lung collapsed had never gone away, just so I wouldn't have to deal with these extrasystoles. I have never felt this anxious or helpless in my life. You tell me: is there any logical explanation for suffering from diseases that are so rare and have no definitive cure? No one around me goes through things like this; everyone else is happy—why me? And at such a young age, too. I don’t know; I really don’t know. My request of you is this: regardless of your religion, would you please pray for me? Whatever the faith, we all more or less believe in one God. Please pray for me and ask for forgiveness on my behalf.

Can someone please give a logical explanation? I'm really scared.

  • I used to have extrasystoles only rarely—at most one a day. In fact, for the 20 days leading up to this "storm," I hadn't felt a single one. However, seven days ago, I woke up, ate a meal, and had some ice cream. Immediately afterward, a sudden "PVC storm" began. Sometimes I get 4 or 5 of them per minute. This has been going on for a week, and I feel at least 1,500 of them daily. Please give me a logical explanation. Did I suffer a heart attack or an arrhythmia in my sleep that night, causing damage to my heart? I am terrified. Anxiety makes it worse, but anxiety is definitely not the root cause. I had an ECG, an echocardiogram, and a Holter monitor test three months ago, and the doctor said my heart was in excellent condition. What happened that night to trigger this storm?

Heart damage??? I'm so scared.

How many extra beats per minute do you experience during a flare-up? On days when you are having a flare-up, have you ever felt—during the normal beats—that your heart isn't beating as a unified whole?

Help me!!! I cant cope

I used to have—at most—two or three extra heartbeats a day, but for the last 20 days, I hadn't had a single one. I had undergone all the tests previously, and the doctor confirmed my heart was healthy. However, two days ago, after dinner, I ate some ice cream; while I was standing, a sudden "storm" of extrasystoles began—about three or four per minute. They didn't stop at all from the moment I got into bed until I finally fell asleep. I slept well that night, but as soon as I woke up and stood up, they started again. It continued all day, and last night was the worst of my life. I tried every possible sleeping position, but they wouldn't stop; at one point, I even felt them occurring in pairs. Eventually, I just resigned myself to them and managed to fall asleep. I’ve woken up, and they are still happening. Please, someone tell me this is just a flare-up, that it isn't dangerous, and that it will resolve soon—that it isn't permanent. I can't live like this; I'm in a really difficult situation
