Tell Me What Amp To Get

I played in the kinds of bands and venues where it didn't matter much and I just played regular old tube combo amps forever. Sound guys mic'd me if they wanted and I rarely even had myself in a monitor. Most of the time plug straight into the amp, using the amps overdrive and reverb. Occasional use a distortion or delay pedal that I just leave on for some slapback, but basically I'm super minimal with the gear and just play rull good and that's always got me by.

Now I'm in a new city with a nicer fancier vibe and just got my first few "professional" gigs at venues with real sound systems/sound guys, where I feel like they're gonna want me to have some modern stuff that can go direct into house systems or have multi-effect pedals or something. I'm also gonna be using in-ears for the first time ever.

I am so not a gear person, it's all mind numbing to me. All my amps are back home anyway so I gotta get some new stuff up yon. What are the "industry standards" for solid state modeling amps, or multi-effect pedals? I hate shopping I just want the thing that works that everyone uses. Hope this question isn't too vague.
