Buckling Damage?

I had a landscaping crew trim up some bushes and put mulch around my property. I've used them before - they're well known in the area - and didn't supervise the work. Several hours after they left, I found my garage door had odd damage that I couldn't readily explain. I don't have cameras, so I can't prove they caused the damage, but it would be a really odd coincidence if they didn't.

A pile of mulch was placed in front of, and potentially up against, the garage door. There was evidence of mulch just inside the garage after they left, so either it was blown under with a leaf blower or the mulch was dumped up against the door. There's no evidence of any damage to the finish, like impact from a vehicle, or evidence of sharp point loads from a gardening tool, but the creases themselves are relatively sharp and almost (but not completely) linear, and they're misaligned by an inch.

What could've caused this damage? Has anyone seen this sort of damage before?
