Other characters like Moira Rose
I can't recall if this was brought up, but I wondered how many other characters are like her. At least on the surface. I don't think there are that many female characters that have her complex mix of ambition, narcissism, selfishness but also love, loyalty and depth and talent.
I think women like Scarlet O'Hara and Erica Kane are similar to Moira but they were both also noted for their immature streak that took many years to overcome
There's a character in a Stephen Sondheim musical (Merrily We Roll Along) Gussie Carnegie. Like Moira she's actress who is ambitious, narcissistic and selfish. She kind of a diva who is driven by the need to perform and the trappings and glamour of success. Her career is her number 1 priority. But unlike Moira, she went for the wrong man and realized too late her mistake in dumping the guy who would have always loved and supported her no matter what.
