How do I install Nvidia graphics drivers on a KDE Debian Install?

So, I've been trying to switch from a gnome-based Debian install to a KDE-Plasma based Debian install, and it works... right up until I try to install the graphics drivers.

I've been using the method described in this video to do so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqINMp1UOnY

To summarize, that's editing the sources file in /etc/apt, then installing the headers or whatnot, updating, then installing the graphics drivers, and rebooting (I might be remembering some of those in the wrong order).

On gnome, it works flawlessly. On KDE-Plasma, however, after I finish the steps and restart, I get stuck on the login screen. When I enter my password, the computer goes black and shows a text cursor in the top left of the screen for a moment, as if it worked, but then it boots me right back into the login window. No matter how many times I try to log in, I get the same result, and it doesn't let me in.

This only happens after I've installed the Nvidia graphics drivers, and it only happens if I input the correct password. If the password is wrong, it tells me so.

Any idea what I need to do to make this work? Gnome is kinda lacking in features. Like, you know, the minimize button.
